Boston Celtics -2

Even without Kevin Garnett, the Celtics should be able to continue their dominating streak tonight.  They have had the Sixers number ever since the new Big 3 has come aboard.  Even ATS they have dominated.  The other guys will step up and take this one down.


Toronto +11

I just have a feeling that this will be the game where the injuries catch up with the Cavs.  Reason being is that the Raps have good guard play.  Calderon, Moon, etc will be able to take advantage of Delonte being out.  Last time these two played, West and Mo Williams combined for 17 assists.  That won't be happening tonight.  Close game throughout.


San Antonio vs. Denver UNDER 198.5

Look at the Spurs history in the 2nd game of a back to back and you will find that more often than not it will be a low scoring affair.  Especially after a damn tough overtime game last night.  Both teams will not get up to 100 points.

how about the celts running and gunning with minnesota ?
 
no garnett and jefferson went off shooting 15-21 .
 
sure elton brand is getting back from injury and is not showing
the prowess of big al but garnett being out hurts that interior defense .
 
is tony allen out as well ?
flu going around the team ?
more minutes for house ?
 
kg out of the lineup eliminating the shotclock evaporating with postplay moves before he decides to do a fallback turnaround jumper that takes 12 seconds ?
 
philly hasn't played since when ? rusty ? i know they like to run .
can they take advantage of a smaller boston lineup like the wolves did ?
 
looking into a possible over play if the number is right . gotta check those stats .

Wouldn't recommend the over, spockgato, not after the Sixers stunk up their own building in historic fashion in the 2nd half at home on Saturday night against New Jersey.  How pathetic were the Sixers against the Nets?  Let me put it this way.  New Jersey could only manage scoring a feeble 35 points in the 2nd half.......AND STILL CAME BACK FROM 17 POINTS DOWN TO WIN THE GAME!!!!!

 

THINK ABOUT THAT!     

 

The Sixers were horrendous offensively in the 2nd half of that game.  Believe it or not, they failed to score a basket on any of their final 27 possessions!  That is unheard of.  With that nightmare collapse still fresh in their minds, don't expect ANY of the Sixers to be eager to shoot the ball tonight.  Expect a lot of shot clocks to trickle under 10 seconds when Philly has the basketball.

The Celtics could very easily get into a run and gun style without KG in there on the defensive end, however keep in mind that the Sixers are only averaging 90.3 PPG against Boston since Garnett and Allen arrived.  The C's are putting up about 105 per game, so technically that would lean towards the over, but I would stay clear of it.

I mainly see the Celtics being better prepared for this game because they have time to game plan for no KG.  On Sunday vs. Minnesota, they didn't know until a few hours before tipoff.  Now they have had a couple of days and can get pumped up for what's to come.  Big Baby will handle the challenge of covering Brand, who doesn't have the offenisve moves that Big Al has. 

Brand went 2-10 against the Nets, who certainly don't have the same defensive ability as the Celtics.  They also only put up 25 points in the 2nd half against NJ.  Could be tough for them to hit the 90 mark in this one.

The only game in Philly to go over in this series was when the Sixers shot 56% from the field.  What are the odds that will happen again?

Celtics game goes down just like the butler green bay game, celtics lose tonight guys, but go ahead and get sucked in if u want, they have to lose somtime, they arent going to win every game for the rest of the season, they lose tonight

it's tempting to believe philly will give extra effort in wanting
to bounce back from such a horrific offensive implosion .
 
can they and will they ? i dont know .
 
they scored 31 , 27 , 17 , and then 8 in the 4th .
 
that's absurd .
 
the nets are not the celtics and i need to clip my toenails cuz i just ruined another pair of socks . 
 
boston is 3rd or 4th in the league 3 point fg pct against .
philly is next to last in fg pct proficiency .
 
ouch .
 
this game can no doubt bog down i'm just looking for an angle .
 
philly running against a smaller boston team without it's defensive leader after a home humiliation had me thinking .
 
tony allen not guarding the perimeter and boston scoring 98 or more in 8 of 10 { det , orl ] had me by the ear .

And overall, the Raptors might have the worst perimeter play in the NBA....especially when you factor in defense and creating off the dribble....which is two of the biggest guard play assets in the NBA
