Yeah I’m betting the Spurs again , last game I had Spurs and hedged at the half because I didn’t like was I was seeing and hoping the Spurs will play a lot better tonight. Last game Thunders bench scored over 70 pts out scoring the starts by over 30pts. Wemby has been held in check the last 2 games, not sure if he’s tired playing so much plus being that tall can’t be easy. Seeing him at the top of the key instead on in the post is not a good for the Spurs.
Why the hell am I betting the Spurs! I think it’s very hard to beat a good team 3 games in a row plus they are at home and have been a team that has responded well after a loss. Thunder now have home court advantage back and I don’t see them losing this series, they made adjustments and have out played the young Spurs team as this is their first playoff. I hope I don’t have to think about hedging again, the Thunder would love to beat them again to put the nail in the coffin tonight.
For me , a 58 year old who grew up watching Bird and Magic change the game, Bad Boy Pistons violent defense like no other as they violently assaulted the greatest player of all time - MJ and eventually changing the rules where that brand of violence (you had to see it to believe the shit really). To my point , now teams shoot 40 3”s a game and I think it’s BS as would Bobby Knight who taught you don’t take a shot until the ball gets passed at least 3 times trying to find the highest % shot to score along w playing tough man on man defense. BK would puke watching all the 3”s being taken these days as everyone wants to try to be like Curry. Life and due by the 3- Some ugly basketball when they aren’t making them but they still keep taking them.
Anyway - blah blah - Hoping the Spurs can play w great pride tonight because they are a great young team. They know if they don’t win it’s over and the Thunder will get another ring after beating the Knicks.
