So in response to post#124 - if according to your theory, you say " Surely the league cannot allow Miami to win 100% of their games w/ Foster reffing. As obvious as these games can be at times they can't be that stupid. " .... if this is the case, how can you be so confident this time the league will be stupid enough to allow Miami to win all of the games that foster referees? so you are saying there are certain referees involved in a conspiracy, but the conspiracy is selective so they dont get caught? But you somehow know when they are going to be selective and stick to the conspiracy and when they are not?

I am being sarcastic but, Not busting your balls, i am just trying to learn more about your referee handicapping methods, as the proof is in the pudding and your have been spot on with your finals picks

Well, for example Mccutchen ref'd game 1 where Spurs won and he also ref'd game 5 another Spurs win. Refs were 53% in favor of home dog wich is the main reason why i took the Spurs. Refs stats has determined the winner 4 out of 4 games prior to game 5 and is now 5-0 - i couldn't just stop using the system since it was 100% success rate. In other words you have to consider the situation and circumstance. Get a feel for what you think the league wants. I'm not saying i know exactly what they want for each game because it's not that easy. I had a pre-existent belief in how i feel this series was going to go before it began. Once my beliefs were backed up by refs/stats etc. & i was hitting plays based on all that i just continued to use the same pattern/system.

The start of this thread i said i intitially liked Miami in 6 or 7. I was/am positive it goes to 6-7 so that's what drove me to continue to follow it up. So everything i did revolved around that. I know that the league likes to extend series and fabricate drama for ratings. So i consider each situation and go from there......So, if Foster happens to Ref game 6....because i believe they would like it to go to 7 i would lean Miami. I'd then consider the stats and wther it would back up taking Miami in this spot. If it did, for example Refs favored the home team 65% i would happily jump on Miami to cover the game.

IMO in 2011 Dallas/Miami finals i believe the league wanted Dallas to win that season. So sending Foster may have made it look like he was sent to save Miami.

I was just chiming in for some good debate, I check in here, because I see you have picked the Heat and it has caused me some panic, as I have a lot riding on the Spurs.

I wont be rubbing nothing in your face if I win, If I lose you definitely wont see me, I will be to busy working to make up for all my losses on the NBA

i'm into anything that's out of the box. sounds interesting i will actually look it up.

look it seems you mean well but your approach needs some work. and you seem honest enough. It's all gravy. The thing is i'm not pushing my Miami series wager in anybody's face so i want to be treated the same way. Good for you if you have Spurs. We've both made our bets already so there obviously isn't anymore we can do but wish one another good luck.

Historical advantage.

"The Finals have been a 2-2 split 27 previous times in NBA history. Of those 27 times, the team that won Game 5 went on to win the finals 20 times."

Not to mention the stat prior.

"The winner of game 3...historically 92% series winner. Since the Finals went to a 2-3-2 format in 1985, there have been 12 Finals that started 1-1. The winner of game 3 is 11-1 in Finals history....92%."


Add on top Spurs have 2 shots to win the finals & it seems they have a good shot at taking this.


"Conspiracies" aside & if i did not believe this has all been manipulated i would be all over the Spurs. I mean how could you not!!! But I think it's quite compelling that even after that game 5 blow out Miami is still favorite to win the finals. The team who has taken the lead in this series usually is then fave to win on the books. W/ history greatly on Spurs side & have 1 out of 2 to take this out yet they are currently $2.20 dogs for this series.

I went to vegas and asked at least 50 people who was winning the NBA championship they all said the HEAT.

   way to much money laid down on these transplants to win....

Plus I used your analogy betting the heat versus Mavs.....the series was -330 on Hea after game #1  I said no way they can lose....


but look what happened?

Game 1: Refs 64% for Road dogs. Spurs wins.
Game 2: Refs 63% for home fave. Miami wins.
Game 3: Refs 55% for home fave. Spurs wins.
Game 4: Refs 62% for road dog. Miami wins.

Game 1: 3-1
Game2: 4-0
Game3: 3-4
Game 4: 4-0
Game 5: 3-1

17-6 NBA Finals

I'm 74% basing picks solely on officiating/fixed/rigged angle. Picked game winner 4 out of the 5 games. Refs have determined the winner 5 of 5 games. I've called who they'll send to ref based on what i feel the league wants for 3rd game straight.

I'm so tired of this bs.  Did the refs make Manu play the best game of the season?  Did they tell Pop to start Ginobili?  Did they allow Green to catch fire and make everything he threw up?  I saw questionable calls and no calls for both sides for every game in this finals.  These guys have to play basketball.  There is no conspiracy and there is no other reason as to why this has went to 6 games other than inconsistent play from both teams.
