Rondo for Paul??

Im a huge celtics fan, was born into it, and i love Rajon Rondo BUT if we can get Chris Paul then im all for it. And a big reason is because i really think if Celtics can get Paul then Celtics would have a much stronger chance of landing Dwight Howard next season in free agency (KG, and Ray Rays huge contracts come off the books)

I know all of this is a long shot, everything would have to fall into place including a 3rd team in the Rondo for Paul trade but i can dream cant i?  Pierce still has a couple decent seasons left but  Paul and Howard on the Celtics?? Oh man, that is guarantee finals and a possible championship title right there.

IF by chance the celtics do work out a deal for Paul then they better make sure he gives them a guarantee he will sign an extension with them because a lot of rumors since last year say that paul wanted to sign with NY when he becomes a Free agent next year..  I dont wanna lose Rondo for a guy that plays just 1 year.

As a Celtics fan and life-long boston resident...im all for the trade of rondo for cp3 reguardless if we have intrest in howard or not.

On board with this Danny Ainge...get it done.

a lot of people are against it but there are a ton of boston fans for it including myself and im a massive rondo fan too, but im all for making the celtics better and Paul is a much better player than rondo, i can admit that...

I always take rondo in my fantasy league, i overpay for him because i always want a celtic on my team lol.  (we use an auction type setup using a points system, not roto.. $50 range per team to join the league (each team gets $200 play money to buy players, and i usually get rondo for $30 to $40 range and he is always worth it because of his steals and assists)

but his lack of shooting is a liability to the team.

they double peirce and ray ray and leave him wide open for the jump shot that he cant hit. You put Paul in that line-up, you cant leave him wide open.

Rondo for Westbrook, straight up

cp3 is going to be a new york knick soon enough 

i feel like the celtics can bring him in and do a little convincing like they did with Garnett. Either way i feel like rondo is going somewhere b\c he's not going to play for a team that doesnt want...can definatly see that in his character.

 

I would love Westbrook on the Bulls at 2 except for the fact hes a ball hog and we already have one of those (although he has to be)

CP3 won't sign with anyone but the New York Knicks. 

If I were him, I'd consider:

(a) Wherever Dwight goes
(b) The Clippers to throw alley-oops to Blake Griffin for the next 7 years

He won't sign for the Celtics, however he may not have a choice to play for them this season.  I could see the Hornets either trying to get Rondo or Westbrook right now.  The Celtics don't have much time left and if they want to win this season they go after CP3 NOW. 

Don't blame Paul. KG is on his last legs. And who knows how long Pierce and allen has.

if you were Boston, wouldn't you still make the trade to try to win the title this season?  If they know they can't win this year with Rondo and the big 3 are on their last legs, why not take the chance? 

i wish!!! but its not looking good now for us getting him. we probably wont even get paul (who im not sure i would want if we only got him for a year considering we have rondo for another couple years)

i dunno, for me i would probably lean towards no because i would be pretty crushed if paul left after just one season and giving up rondo who has a couple years left on his contract (a cheap 10mil i think a year too)...  I think the celts, if ainge made the right moves, can rebuild rather quick. Rondo is still very young, and KG/Allens huge contracts expire so celtics will have a ton of money avail. Pierce will be done in a couple years too, if the celtics play their cards right we can be back in it (post big 3)..

Rondo is great and all...But it's been heard around here for years how much Danny Ainge loves CP3...I would not do the trade for only a year and Ainge wont either to win this year....He wants a extenstion done as soon as a deal is made..Now if a deal could be made for CP3...I would bring Rondo to Logan Airport and wish him the best

Paul's stats have been going down for 3 years....and he averages 5 more points a game, but the other numbers are pretty darn similar. 

The Big 3 can already score....why do you really need a scoring PG?  Rondo's shot has improved.
