Only betting on a double digit favorite down at half. Success?

Something that ive never tried but this big bettor also got canceled for winning,  ... he would only bet huge if a double digit home favorite was down at half. Apparently he killed it. So much so, he got fired befofe I did. Curious if anyone here has done this consistently and consistently won?
