NBA playoffs to me is hard to cap ..I'm fairly new to it. However, I have found some success with this scenario during many seasons past
Play on the home team ATS in gm #2 of any series if they lost gm #1 straight up: Next play with this scenario would be the NY Knicks spread or ML
I came out of the gate with this scenario going 5-0 so far in round 1.. but I ventured off it not fairing to well with other plays that I had no business making. Past few years using this scenario.. 70% + is attainable. Should have stuck to the plan, so from here on out, going to see what happens and next season just follow it to the bank because to me.. betting anything other than this scenario just doesn't work for me.
Cleveland -5.5
Phoenix -8
Memphis +1
Milwaukee -5
Philly -4
I tailed off to 10-11 because I ventured off this scenario.. Lets see if it can go 6-0 with the NY Knicks up next

The reason this scenario makes so much sense is that the home team, "the higher seeded squad " has put itself in a situation that if it loses the 2nd gm @ home they will be forced to go on the road down 0-2 with not much chance of winning the series and advancing to the next round They may have been surprised by the visitor in the 1st gm, and came out flat or a little over confident. Rest assured though, they " WILL " be ready to play in gm #2
On the other hand, the visiting team has accomplished what they came to town hoping for a split on the road. They probably had to extend them selves a bit winning the first gm in a hostile environment and probably will not be able to duplicate that effort two nights in a row. Psychologically they have met their expectations by "stealing" a game on the road. Deep down , they really don't expect to sweep the better team on its home court. Conversely , the home team has a big psychological advantage. They are in a desperate situation and you can pretty much bet that you will get an outstanding effort from them
Play on the NY Knicks -6 in gm #2

Keep an eye out for Mondays games to see if the home team loses gm #1 of that series SU, if any one of them do..they will fit the bill to be a "play on" in gm #2

@sportschat
Exactly, not easy capping teams that play ea other several times in a series. To me its a guessing game other than the scenario above. Another scenario is a team off 2 SU & ATS wins at home in gms 1 & 2 of a series.. then going on the road to face the 0-2 SU ATS home team. One example was Golden St after losing both games 1 & 2 vs SAC ..game home and blew em out..

We have 2 "play on" teams that fit the scenario...which is 5-0 SU & ATS so far this playoff season. Im on both
NY Knicks -6
Boston -8

The above (scenario #2) we will call it..with Phoenix heading back home has been fairly profitable for many years...not as profitable though as scenario #1 > (home team off SU loss in gm #1 )
