Went a mediocre 2-3 yesterday but I am disgusted I made such a rookie mistake in laying points on a pathetic 4-19 Clippers road team with the public pounding em. Only 2 plays for tomorrow here they are.
Bobcats +5 (-110) to win 5 units
Almost made this my play of the week but that will most likely come tomorrow on a road team that is on fire depending on the line. The Bobcats win in a comeback in ATL sealed this play for me. The Bobcats have historically dominated the Lakers winning 4 out of their last 5 games against them, which is significant considering these two teams haven't changed too much personnel over the past couple of years. The Lakers are playing their 4th game in 5 nights and are off of an emotional loss on national TV against the Magic and will not care too much about this one. They will be fatigued and the Bobcats possess a lot of matchup problems for the Lake Show. Wallace and Jackson are feisty and physical and will be all over Kobe. Augustin and Livingston are playing well and should get by Fish. Kwame, the ex-Laker, will play with a bit of a chip on his shoulder and then there is Najera who's energy will be huge off of the bench. The Bobcats' buzzer beating win over the Hawks was a "huge confidence for the [team]"- Livingston. Sadly the public never learns their lesson. Last week people pounded the Celtics and lost, nothing will change on Monday, as the Bobcats need this win badly in their chase for the playoffs. I have been able to read the Cats well and I like em tomorrow.
Pistons +5 (-116) to win 3.5 units
WOW THE HAWKS ARE LAYING 5 ON THE ROAD AND THE PUBLIC IS STILL BITING.....DISGUSTING. HOW CAN YOU LAY 5 ON A PSYCHOLOGICAL MESS OF A TEAM THAT GOT SMOKED BY PHILLY AND THEN BLEW A HUGE LEAD IN A DEFLATING BUZZER BEATER LOSS TO THE BOBCATS AT HOME.
The Pistons lost a tough game against the red-hot Blazers, but have been good on b2bs of late. They beat the Kings, Suns, Cavs, and Bucks in their last 4 b2b games. The Pistons bench played a huge role in their comeback attempt against the Blazers and no starters played more than 35 minutes so they shouldn't be too tired. The Pistons were right in the games against the Spurs and Blazers and will be hungry to get a home win before the break. The Pistons match up well with the Hawks hangin with em in ATL and smokin em as a +5 dog in Detroit 103-80 in Motown. The Hawks will be very lucky to win this game let alone cover.
By the way I am very excited because I took a quick peak at the schedule and for the most part found my play of the month on the 23rd. It involves fading a good team on a b2b and terrible scheduling spot, taking a great home team that will have revenge on its mind, a team that is on fire and is getting very healthy before the All-Star break, as well as a history of having a ton of success against this good team at home.

Loving the write-ups and will be on both along with the other 4 HOME teams! Just can't trust the Hawks in the 4th Q. Bobcats find a way to stay close and give themselves a chance to win vs. quality opponents. Good capping!

Philly @ Memphis tomorrow? I Like that game a lot.
Thinking of going big on CHA tomorrow, but i just can't read the lakers. They are yet to lose the 2nd game of a back to back this season...but they have never had to play 4 games in 5 nights all season either. This game is much more important to the bobcats as well and they did take the celtics on a back to back last week. Anyway if i go big and hit charlotte, then i'll definitely be dropping a bomb on Philly 1H vs memphis.

The great Michael Jordan has been training with his team and the boys would love having his presence around. Am sure this is a game that Charlotte would have circled and had an eye on for a week or so now. Lakers just haven't got the same aura about them anymore so this could really be the play of the day imo

Thanks mtbaker! I look forward to your plays and write-ups. I'm a small amount player, but winning a couple hundred is all it takes for me. I will definitely be on Bobcats. I'm also looking forward to your blockbuster play on the 23rd. BOL, my friend!

I almost played Detroit as well as the 'value' is clearly on them. Decided to PASS though since the Pistons are playing their 3rd game in 4 nights and 5th in 7 while the Hawks are playing their 3rd game in the last 9 days or so. One's rested while the other one is in a major 'fatigue' spot.
GL though. I hope you win 'em both!

I know what your saying but I love the mTbaKer's Picks title format since I have always rolled with that since starting on covers. Glad to see that my insight has been helpful to you. I really like both picks tonight and I repopped my Pistons play to win 5 units after seeing some "Hawks are an easy winner" threads here in the forum.
The Blazers should cover. They own the Twolves, are on fire with Aldridge being disgusted about not making All-Star team. The Twolves have been swept by the Spurs and could very well get swept by the Blazers tonight but I'm not sure which Twolves team will come out as they may be rearing to go after a pathetic effort against Philly. Blazers or no play IMO.
Bucks or no play as the Clippers are absolutely struggling. Losses to the Raptors and Cavs by 5 or more makes me think that an angry and desperate Bucks team should cover without a problem. It is a revenge game for the Bucks and they are physical and match up well with the Clip. However, the Bucks are a little overrated and have not been good to me. Bucks or no play.
Houston-Denver is a very tough match for me. I would actually lean Denver after blowing that big lead, teams usually respond. Denver is the better team getting points, fighting for the playoffs, and will have revenge on its mind. The Rockets have done terrible against playoff-teams this season. Nuggets or no play from the way I look at it.
