Harris was caught red handed saying a racial slur to luka last game. He did apologize before this most recent game. But if this was reversed and say Luka said this to Harrell....possible suspension and hefty fine to Luka?

Also, black ppl were called the n word while suffering horrible atrocities like slavery and lynchings. Being called a white slur isnt as hurtful as that didnt happen to white folks.
It still bothered me a little, for two reasons. One, I'm Irish born as are both my parents so no one in my family ancestry did anything bad to the African people. Two, when you're a kid you don't want to feel different than the others in your peer group and I was the minority, only usually one other white kid played where we lived, sometimes only me, so it didn't feel nice for that reason.
But it was far from the worst bullying that happened back then. One guy would literally throw haymakers at the ball to try and dislodge it and didnt care if your hand, body or head got hit instead.
When I went to high school everyone thought I was a good shooter cuz I was white. Actually it was cuz the past 2 years i had to catch and shoot before stone hands Willie got to me to play 'defense'. I basically had to play like Kyle Korver. I was almost as good as him too (yeah right)
But I would never mess with an Eastern European and as big as Harrell is he should know those boys are the hardest men you can deal with. Anyway he served them up a major kick in the bollocks today.

As a white guy, I honestly don't care or hold anything against Harrell for what he said. When you're in the heat of the moment, you talk shit and say what gets under some ones skin. With that being said, the table turned and Luka calling him a "bitch ass black boy," the whole world would blow up. There's just a double standard with everything these days and that's what bothers me. Wrong is wrong and right is right. That's it.
It does. And it shouldn't be accepted in any form. That's the only way we will ever move forward. Double standards exist though. And most exist for a reason. That is a reality.
This happens all the time during games but this just so happens to get caught on camera... But the funny part is, earlier in the game, Luka told Harrell to stop flopping and he got butt hurt so that is why he said what he said.. But let me just say this, if he said this 6 months ago, would you have cared? Nope... You only care because of the time we are living in... I have heard everything from black people but since i am not sensitive, i just laugh it off... It is very easy to trigger a black person without even being racist..
My personal opinion on this is pretty simple...
Harrell did a good job of apologizing but it may be one of the most hypocritical things ever to wear slogans on your jersey promoting racial equality and then saying that to another player on the court. Although what he said may have not been a major racial slur, the way he said it makes it look like he was implying that white people are below him.
When it comes to the NBA, what a joke of a league. Maybe he did not deserve a fine or suspension but to not speak word of it at all just makes it known that the NBA only cares when its white on black and not the opposite.
Personally I am more disappointed at the NBA/Clippers/Media for not speaking of it than at Harrell. it was in the heat of the moment and he made it clear that it was wrong. But for the media to not speak of it, when if roles flipped, Luka would lose all credibility, that is simply insane. Kinda shows the world that we are living in, where if two people make the same mistake in any feature of life, one may have his life ruined by it and the other will go on all because they are on the "right side". And when this comes to race, it is really sad.
Okay but it was obviously meant to be derogatory. So isn't that wrong? The skin color is what he used to insult Luka and that means it's racist. I don't think reverse racism is a bigger problem, but it's not supposed to be acceptable when black lives matter is plastered all over. One of my customers is a hardcore Republican and he's very upset about what professional sports are doing. He won't watch and couldn't believe I was betting/watching them. I didn't get to tell him I hit a big parlay a couple of weeks ago so I have incentive. Anyway, if the players want people to believe in what they're saying, they insulting white people is probably not going to accomplish that.
