Usually a star player being out means a lower total. However, the last game was set at 220 for the total and -1.5 with Wemby out. And it was the only game to go over.
The other two had lower set totals and went easily under with Wemby in. So his defensive presence causes lower totals, both in the books eyes, and the last 3 games.
The line dropping a point doesn't really mean to me he is going to be out. I initially thought so, because why play him when you won game 3 without him anyway and already beat the Blazers in reg season without him too.
But then maybe the line being higher than game 3 is more a reaction to them still winning without Wemby and all, too...
In which case, Id say some people would find value in that overreaction. I'm likely one of them. Both these teams are young, Spurs haven't been to the playoffs for a while before this year. Will they take a 3-1 lead here? I'm not so sure. Still hoping he doesn't play and I'm happy i got 5.5 but the line set lower than any other game is weird, because the game they just played in Portland with him out was set 3 points higher and still went over.
An extra day or two is probably enough to clear concussion protocol.
