Really people the refs cheated?? Twice?? If that's the best you can come up with, convo is done on my part. MJ shoots better than KOBE?? Really, wtf is wrong with you? And my list CLEARLY says "1&2 are interchangeable" Kobe's shooting and offensive PERFECTION puts him ahead of Michael to me

If you dont remember either you didnt see it, youre too young or both. Its a foregone conclusion, but its the same old argument, since youre a fan of the guy who's being accused the blinders come on. Its a debate that will never end. I knew refs cheated during the Lakers/Kings Game 7, everybody knew it, nodoby needed Tim Donaghy to say it, but he did. I knew refs cheated for the Lakers against Boston in 2010 Finals Game 7 everybody saw it, nobody needed Tim Donaghy to echo it, but he did.

And like I said look at mike competition that also plays a part in my distinction... Steve Kerrs, hornaceks, mark prices, mookie blacklocks, Judd buchelors, none of them players would make a roster in this era.. Kobe's competition trumps michaels,Kobe's offense trumps Michaels...if they did a top 50 list again a lot of those 90's players wouldn't make it.. The Chris Mullins, the joe dumars,Isaiah Thomas..are lesser skilled and athletic(because at the end of the day they are supposed to be ATHLETES)than the d wades, ray Allen's,Paul pierce,Jason kidd (underrated),Kevin durant,Westbrook, harden etc etc all these players at the end of the day will replace those slow, non jump in' one dimensional players of the 90's and older

Firstly I'm a fan of sports..KOBE is my second favorite after Glenn rice but I call it how I see it. Was never overly big on MJ because I felt no one respected Scottie and recognized him as a top tier player. But your right you can't argue with a conspiracy theorist lol and what does age have anything to do with anything a fan is a fan. I'm 28 btw a grown ass man,so if your 38 that's makes your more knowledgable? Rhetorical, bottom line is David Stern is the best head of sports ever, why would you think he'd fix a SPORT he'd built into a multi billion dollar business so the lakers could win their umpteenth title?? Why would he allow San Antonio and Memphis be in the conference finals?? How's that profitable?? Or your theory was for just those 2 individual years?? Or what would have been the difference in Boston winning?? It would've been more profitable ACTUALLY Boston =Wayyy bigger sports market than la

All the these are of course rhetorical questions, you must be young.. Your too old to think so foolishly to think the greatest commissioner in the history of American sports would jeopardize his legacy or the leagues legacy to fix a playoff series

Lol now I know youre just a young kid who wasnt even around during MJ's era because if you were you wouldnt make such silly statements. Its a foregone conclusion the game is easier now with handchecking rules, 3 second rules, simple touch fouls called, flagrant 2's, which back then would be a simple foul or not even called.

Cause most of them are kids and have no idea what they are talking about. The year after the Bulls lost Grant , they were weak in the post (why they went after Rodman a year later). Magic beat them in the playoffs. Shaq was good then but Hakeem abused him in that era. Now imagine the bulls frontcourt who was no match for Shaq, guard Hakeem.

Has Kobe ever won a playoff series without a big man.

Just asking. because Mike won playoff series before Pippen got on the team. He never had a great big man.

I think that's what most of you Kobe lovers forget. What made Mike great is that he was the best player in the league and winning at 6'6. His next best player was Pippen. No big man.

Kobe barely got his team in the playoffs when he was by HIMSELF.

He's got to many scratches on his record. How can you forget the game 7 against Phoenix when he refused to shoot.

These are the things that separate MJ from whoever you want to go get.

I can't find a game MJ didn't try to win. When he decided he had an attitude and wasn't going to shoot. When someone screwed his mom and he was so upset he couldn't focus.

Big games Kobe and Lebron have come up short. Kobe lost to the Celtics. Lebron lost to the Mavericks.

Six finals Six final MVP's.

There is no argument.

Nobody goes back and watch videotapes of games like that, unless youre a writer voting on the Hall of Fame, Im not stupid. Besides youd have to watch years of Jordan's past seasons to have full knowledge and thats just not possible to get your hands on that much film. I can tell you know nothing of the sort because you said Jordan had to worry about Blaylock, Mark Price, Buechler, and Kerr. Blaylock and Price were point guards who didnt typically guard Jordan, Buechler and Kerr were his teammates, big lol right there. Id never try and comment on players who I didnt watch and only saw highlights, you cant accurately. I saw in another thread you put Bill Russell in your top 10 all time. Well most do but its really a stupid thing to do if you didnt see him play I sure didnt see him play and no matter how many rings he has and accomplishments its still silly to do so if you didnt watch him play, thats for people who saw him. So you cant make an accurate statement about Jordan because you wasnt even astutely watching during those times.

Pippen is better than any teammate kobe played with other than shaq.  Pippen won 55 games with the bulls team when MJ left and led them in every statistical category. Pippen was also one of the best defenders in the nba

Rodman was one of the best rebounders of all time

Kobe barely got his team in the playoffs when he was by HIMSELF.

Jordan did nothing by himself - he did not win anything without Pippen - nothing. Jordan never, ever, ever, had a roster like kobe had in 2006 - smush parker, kwame brown, chris mihm, luke walton - no one in NBA history could win a nba title with that roster, no one, and if you actually think so you are lying.

With that being said, MJ is still the best, because once he had Pippen, he performed well, but lets stop acting like Kobe was the only one that won with another great player. Magic had stacked laker teams, same with Bird.

1.   Comparing duncan to kobe = nonsense
2.   Comparing kobe to MJ =nonsense. Kobe is best 1 on 1 player ever but is too selfish and doesnt make teamates better (quoting Larry Bird).  In fact many of his teammates resent him.  Kobe has underachieved in the playoffs just ask yourself if MJ played on kobes laker teams instead of kobe how many rings he would have got.  At least 8, probably more.
3.   Any1 who believes that the other MJ really believes Kobe is the best all round Laker of all time = nonsense

It wasnt because he had Pippen, it was because he finally realized he couldnt do it by himself and started to trust his teammates more and pass the ball. Thats the main difference if him not getting past the Pistons and finally getting past them and winning rings.

What an ignorant comment. Did you dump your gf/wife because you thought if you turned gay you would have a shot with Kobe? They ask LeBron a question about Tim Duncan and the first thing comes in your mind is why he didn't mention Kobe? Do you sleep eat drink shit Kobe? I've been a Heat fan for a long long time before there was wade or Lbj or any of these guys and sometimes I hate Lbj fans what an ass kisser they are but you just top it all off Kobeking. Wow man. Put your Kobe pajamas on and go back to bed. Lord......

if a 20 year old jordan played with a prime shaq, the same result would have happened, shaq would still have won the mvp's - he was the biggest matchup nightmare for opponents. so no they would have not won 8 - they would not have lasted that long.

After a while shaq and jordan's ego's would clash... no way jordan would want to be the #2option, and one would thus have to leave. They were both alpha dogs.

Kobe came in as a teen to an established shaq, ofc they were going to run through shaq... go check the West conf finals, kobe was the one coming through late in games and putting up huge numbers

game 7 vs portland west finals - kobe led the team in points, rebounds, and assists, and he was 21 years old. Shaq dominated the finals b/c he was a huge mismatch.
