Only 2 times has a team played at home in game 7 after losing game 5 and 6 since the 7 game 1st round in the early 2000s
'Wins by 9 and 12
Interestingly enough the rest of the playoffs they are 3-4 and in all 3 wins by 5 or less.
I think there is some value here with the 76ers at 9 or so points. Road teams off a DD win in game 6 also do solid. With Embiid back its a different team and this feels a bit more like maybe a 2nd round matchup. JMO

That doesn't make sense. If there were 2 game 7 home teams who lost games 5&6 in the first round, and both thus advanced, how could their combined record in the rest of the playoffs be 3-4? The 2 teams combined would have to play a minimum of 8 games, and that's if they lost them all.
Also, what is the exact record of Gm.7 road teams who won Gm. 6 by DD, who you say did "solid" in those Gm. 7s?

Everyone was taking the 9 points and with JT out it's now down to 4.5 most places. Personally I like +3.5 with + odds bc I feel like the NBA desperately needs a game with good finish and these things have a way of happening.

Teams with a 3-1 series lead who lost the next two and then played at home in the first round. were 2-0 with 9 and 12 point wins
Teams in the same 3-1 situation losing game 5 and 6 and playing at home but in rounds 2-the finals were 3-4 with 5 or less point wins
76ers get the cover
