Knicks gm 1 and Why

Usually I stop Betting NBA once Baseball season starts.    Took a look at this game, let’s look at some numbers:

      Ny  27 

-5 San  3 

line opened up  at 5 for San(Madduxsports.com), currently around the same or 4.5 at some places. 

Based on a variety of sources and my own methodology, I give the Knicks a rank of 27 and the Spurs a 3 - lower the number the better the team on paper.    

When I look up games with a spread of 5 and similar numbers - I don’t have any with an exact spread of 5 for the home team . However, what’s interesting - every time the total rank for the way was 27 and the home team had a rank in the single digits - like we have with San -3, the away team would win the game straight up .  The spreads were 2.5, -3, -9, -4.5 . 

I’d prefer a game with exact ranks and a spread of - 5 but I think taking the Knicks straight up tonite might happen .

Knicks + 165
