Knicks Garden of Dreams Program

All teams have a philanthropic entity and the Knicks have the Garden of Dreams.

While we see the Stars and ex Knicks courtside, the Garden of Dreams is giving 250 Tickets to Under Served Youth to BOTH games 3 and 4 .

If their is a Game 6, its 750 Tickets..

That is pretty good stuff to hear imho.

 It’s a great thing to see especially when money is seemingly the driver of almost everything. I read a nice article in the Athletic about KAT and his interaction with the mother of a young serviceman that was killed. If gives me hope in this chaos filled world.

Here's what the Knicks get for Life:

500 and likely 1,250 new fans and btw, somebody is likely buying them a hot dog, fries, popcorn, soda and Knicks swag/merch.

And these people get an experience of a lifetime.

I have been to 5 nba Finals games as a kid, when friends played and when my Heat played in 2013.

I am a lifelong Knicks fan. I hated the trade for KAT (DD Fan). Knew he shot great, thought he was soft as Charmin. I have never been more wrong about a basketball player, or person. The guy gives 110%. Stupid fouls at times, certainly. A foolish shot here or there, definitely. He also plays hurt all the time, and leaves it on the court. Off the court, he gives back.  Stand up guyThis sums it up for me:

 "Heart, willingness, wanting to play,” Towns said. “Really, that’s it at the end of the day. I damn sure haven’t felt my best all year, all day. But I want to play. I love playing. I do believe in the philosophy that there may, especially at MSG with how expensive the tickets are, there may be a family or a young kid who has saved up all his money to watch me play that one night, and for me not to be available would be disrespectful to that kid and to that family. As long as I can play, I’m going to be out there playing, hopefully give that kid a show.”

Good for the NBA...less dopes than when I worked in the league 1988-93.

Got nothing but respect for ya dude, but all corrupt organizations have a charity aspect for their own indirect or direct reasons.

Not saying it’s like that from top to bottom, and very happy to hear this for the struggling.

I am more surprised pleasantly they are doing this with Finals tickets.

Now sure, it's a write off for Dolan or whomever the corporate sponsor is; but its nice to see imho.

Not all Teams would do this sort of thing and Dolan has taken alot of heat in the past, alot warranted.

I just like the feel good aspect.

That sounds good and very generous. Giving the lowest tickets are going for $3,200 supposedly. A pair of courtside tickets are asking for a quarter millinsane. 

This is good news to hear. They should put those kids court side and make the rich people sit up in the rafters!

I'll be rooting for Knicks in the Finals against OKC. championship is a longtime coming for them, since the 70's wow ...

of course money is the driver of everything. Naivety would lead you to believe otherwise. I’m all for charity, lord knows I can’t afford it.
