I expect the Lakers to make a statement and grab a win at Denver for Game 1. All the pressure is on the Nuggets. Can they handle it? I don’t think they can and something else that stands out is Jokic’s numbers when facing Anthony Davis.
Jokic’s numbers hasn’t been as solid when facing Anthony Davis in his career. In 20 games vs AD he has averaged 18.6 pts, 9.7 rebounds, and 5.3 assists. Those numbers are way down compared to what he averages. Jokic has trouble with AD’s length and agility. I expect this matchup to be xfactor as to who advances. If you limit Jokic, Nuggets usually lose. Their team runs through this guy
On the other hand, AD has had no trouble offensively when the slow footed Jokic guards him. In 20 games against Jokic, AD has averaged 25.6 points and 8.6 rebounds. Just about his averages. When AD is focused and not injured, no one can stop him.
This will be a fast paced game and many should consider the over for this game let alone the whole series. I expect Lebron to do what he usually does and the lakers supporting cast to outplay denvers bench.
I just don’t see Micheal Porter or Jamal Murray having a huge series and that’s what they gonna need for this lakers team led by Lebron and AD.
Lakers Moneyline +200
Dont be surprised when Lakers win this series.

This will be the only game of the series in which the Lakers will benefit from being well-rested, a situation in which they've thrived recently. If they can't win this road game, there's even less chance they'll be able to win any other road game in Denver. Tonight is it. This is their one decent chance to win a road game in Denver, and they must win at least one game in Denver in order to have a chance to win the series. Are you sure that all the pressure is on the Nuggets tonight?

In the last 6 games between the Nuggets and Lakers (Where Jokic and Davis played) Jokic averaged 27.16 points per game. Davis averaged 20.5 points per game. Three of the 6 games had Gasol, Howard, or Drummond listed at Center, but Davis played also. The teams split these games 3-3. Jokic averaged 13.5 rebounds, and 7.33 assists. Two games were played in this span in which Davis did not play. I did not include those games. Oddly, the Lakers won both of those games, and Jokic under performed. This is every game since 2/14/21 in which both of them played.

Jokic is not shaky against AD!

Its incredible how this man(Jokic)continues to get bashed and never gets the credit he deserves.I dont believe Jokic has the player support that Lebraun and company does and he continues to be a point machine.I hope your wrong as I would love to see the Lakers loose this series and bring home the first championship to Denver but its a long road

Those stat averages are skewed. The averages include his games against AD since 2015 and one of those games he only received one minute of playing time. Zeros dont average well, not even for 2x MVPs. Jokic has gotten alot better in the last 4 years than when he entered the league.
He really didn't do well against Dwight in the bubble though.

I respect all you guys opinion. Im not taking Jokic over Lebron and AD
Let’s not ignore the fact that the Nuggets have no shotblockers whatsoever.
Lakers will get to the basket with ease. Who’s gonna block the shots tonight? Deandre Jordan? I know it’s not gonna be Jokic. I’m a fan of Jokic’s game myself but this is not the best matchup for the Nuggets. Their interior defense will be exposed
