I've been plagued (among others) at what you described above. The psychology of betting will get you every time unless you take your time to not just understand the game of basketball, but the skill and discipline it takes to wager on it successfully.
Just the fact out live outside of the states and have the knowledge you do about basketball shows that you have the will and motivation to do this... but do it right Mad... do it right.
You are too smart to stay down for longer. I know you are about to bust it open soon and be able to make some serious money.
Know when to stay off games, I don't play every night anymore like I used to, sure I've missed out on some plays. I still think its okay to make fluctuating wager despite what some have told me and I have read. I think generally speaking though, it is a good idea to flat bet in most situations.
By taking my time like I have been (and skipping on the NBA around all-star break and other down times - know when you don't do well historically in the NBA and stay away during those times). I have really fallen hard in Februarys in the past, but yet because I've slowed down and taken my time this year I'm 9-4 this month and hope to have my first winning Feb.

can like em, but i have to play the best one.
Now somehow im figuring slowly what is the problem...im just too arrogant fucker, thinking im smarter than the bookies and thiniking i will hit every fucking bet i place. Im smart enough to pick one good game to bet, but not even a nano-something more smarter than that. When i accept this, i will be just fine betting. Until then...uh and ouch.
The good part is that i started using matchbook....somehow, that "bookie" spoiled me.
I was betting @-110 and now i bet @-102 or even @+1XX for a bet that usually is @-110.
With this, i got spoiled and now im thinking that i can lose more bets and still be profitable...i see all those games at great odds and i bet all of them instantly...lol. If i bet now on matchbook like i was betting before, thinking about games for hours before i bet and betting only on one of them, maybe sometimes two games a night i will do great. I may increase the units amount so i cant afford to bet more games...hmmm... this thread helped me alot in the ideas to solve this problem.
