I am so sick of people whining after they lose, claiming the game was fixed.
Anyone who complains it is fixed should just stop gambling.
Why? Well I for one do not believe it is fixed at all, do I see some crazy stuff that makes me wonder...of course, but I respect your opinion if you believe it is as long as you don't complain about it.

If it is fixed a good gambler knows the right side to be on, or at least can get an edge, if it is not fixed (like I believe) stop crying that it is when you lose!

But heres the problem. 1 You need a lot more people than 1 to fix a game. 2 What game are you gonna fix? 3 How much is it gonna cost you to fix a game and is it worth it in a costeffective manor. I have little doubt that they fix games. The problem is when someone loses a bet and starts complaining with no logical reason. That is silly. But to suggest they aren&#x27;t fixing NBA games on occasion is equally silly. They do.

It&#x27;s easy to tell that these games are fixed in my opinion.  You can watch it playing out right in front of your eyes.  No calls in some games, premeditated calls in other games.Damn near the whole Indiana starting five got fouled out today, that&#x27;s crazy.  Saw a lot of no calls against Indy today.  Dude for Miami goes over the Indiana guys&#x27; back under the board, "no call"  Miami gets the ball back after it goes out of bounds.  The announcers even say wow that guy went over the back of the Indiana guy.You think the refs didn&#x27;t see that shit?  They saw it, they just decided this wasn&#x27;t the game to get the calls right.  Gotta give Miami certain calls to make sure they win this game.  It does suck to watch a lot of games that I would say have fixed outcome.  Yeah I gamble, but when I gamble and have for years.  I also take into account this does happen in games, and hope i&#x27;m on the right side of the fix.  Sometimes you are and sometimes you aren&#x27;t.  It&#x27;s all about reading how the script is gonna go.

The problem is when people already KNOW the games are fixed, yet they continue to bet when they&#x27;re not sure which side to make their plays. So then its no longer which team is the better team, you&#x27;re betting on which side the refs are going to fix the game. If you already know the games are fixed and you still bet on them. You&#x27;re allowed to bitch and whine like a little girl when you lose.

I think it depends on what you define as a "fix". Do players point shave? I agree somethings do look pretty fishy but I really don&#x27;t think they shave points. But do Lebron, Kobe, Wade, D Rose, and (insert star) get more calls than your average NBA player? Absolutely stars have gotten that for ages, it&#x27;s nothing new. I don&#x27;t really think it&#x27;s a fix if it&#x27;s common knowledge. So if you&#x27;re bitching about point shaving give me proof, not just suspicion, I&#x27;ll listen but if you&#x27;re bitching that the Heat and Lakers get more calls than the Pacers or the Nuggets and that&#x27;s a fix then wake up! Of course they do, handicap accordingly.

Games are not "fixed" so say but yes some refs probably get paid to try and make a game go a certain way. However the athletes are still out there playing and these so called "fixed" games don't always go the way they are supposed to. Games are influenced, yes, but not fixed. There is a difference.

[/Quote]Youre obviously not a bright bulb.  Noones saying everyone in the NBA is colluding to set the perfect X - Y score game.  Fixing DOES NOT mean the whole NBA is in on it.  But it can mean manipulating a game.  Refs easily have the power to fluctuate atleast 20 points in each game to either side or both.  A star player (think college) can shave points.  Get the picture?Oh and before speaking your gums out like a idiot that doesnt know anything about what hes talking about, Donaghy resigned (was not fired) because he was under FBI investigation due to an investigation into a mob.  Investigation started because the FBI organized crime unit was investigating the Gambino family and since he was affiliate with the bookies and some of the guys in it, he was caught in a wiretap.  He was investigated, charged, CONVICTED and served a jail sentence for rigging games.  He went on the stand and ADMITTED to doing so.  It doesn&#x27;t take a rocket scientist to put that together. Fixed games have happened in the NBA whether you want to believe it or not. Obviously not every game is fixed, and it probably rarely happens. If you have read the Donaghy book you'd know that it is more than just "some fired ref who made up a book."

Phil Scala a long time FBI detective who was on the Tim Donaghy case wrote the forward of the book. This guy was investigated for months by the FBI, do you really think the lead detective would lie in the forward?

At one point in the book, TIm Donaghy actually shows the results form a POLYGRAPH test he took in which he passed with flying colors. Questions such as: Are NBA games fixed and does the NBA fix games for certain outcomes in the playoffs all were proved true by the polygraph.

Games are definitely manipulated and influenced for RATINGS, no doubt...It's great for business! Both LA series are a prime example, up 3-1, than games 5&6 denver/memphis were no doubt playing great, but got the majority of calls....Then in game 7, the teams that were supposed to win, won!

yea NBA is not fixed.... everything is just one gigantic coincidence.. NBA doesn't care about $$$$, ratings, etc.. They are just good hearted human beings who work to please us not themselves.. NBA players are not thugs but society's finest apples! They would never dare to lose on purpose... They don't even tank on purpose for better draft picks.. This never happened and never will!!
