They are payed to play. Why else? In the NFL, you cant win but they still play why? Cuz they like to lose with dignity by having the points closer.

Same in hornets game today they up 3 with 3 sec to go, the nets got no time out but yet they foul it before half court and awarded 3 shots,
It should be a blocking path for 2 shots.
