Playoff Query of the Day:
72 games in and the spread has only mattered 8 times
Just pick the winner and you cover : 64-8 ATS
Here's the interesting part...
6 of those 8 loses double digit spreads, one a play in game, and one you got screwed on a bad closing number
What does that mean?
No back door for dog bettors almost 100%
Stop buying points you've burned so much money
No point in taking the money line instead of the spread on favs, burning money again
No point if you like the dog in not betting the money line or a god damn sprinkle
This is the hardest part to rewire my brain. Take out double digit spread games and you could of cashed on the money-line almost 100% of the time if you won betting the dog!
Next year I will try and change my approach and look to put more down on situational spots
This is will be the 7th year straight the playoffs have been like this, picking the winner covers at almost a 90% clip
