Denver @ Golden State (Denver Backers should Read)

This series is almost a mirror image to 2007 when GSW took out Dallas.  In game 5 that year, Dallas has a DD lead late in the 4th and the Warriors came back and almost stole one.  This year, Denver was up almost 20 pts the entire game and then had to hang on in the final minutes.

The one thing that Denver backers aren't accounting for is the momentum that was established at the end of the game.  I think it was HUGE for the Warriors to make that run at the end of the game to take away a lot of the momentum that Denver had established.  If anyone saw the Warriors walk off the court, they were clapping their hands and bobbing their heads.  On the flip side, JaVale McGee and those guys looked almost relieved when the game was out of reach. 

On top of that, all the post game comments by both teams have set this game up for a battle.  We all know Denver will go balls out in this do or die situation but I believe the post game fireworks lit a fire under the Warriors as well.  Oracle will be rocking more than ever and I think it will take Denver 4 near perfect quarters to complete their task.  They haven't had  a complete game in this series and I just dont see how they do that in this atmosphere. 

I know everyone is on the Warriors but there is a reason why the books have shifted the line 3 or 4 pts. 

Denver could win in a nail biter but I think there a better chance that the Warriors win this one by DD.  BOL to whatever you choose but I am going Warriors BIG.  

Denver keeps getting big leads and then slowing down. All they have to do today is never let up. Plus nuggets gonna be physical with curry and mark Jackson is gonna cry again.

so who is still on the warriors from the 2007 team? any assistant coaches even?  I don't understand how they are linked, other than one team coming back from down 20 to lose by single digits.

Take the info however you want to.  It must be tough for you to account for a crazy atmosphere since you've never experienced it.  Laker fans don't fill Staples until the 4th quarter.

Dim, I wrote in someones thread before the playoffs that if the Warriors somehow took 1 of the first 2 in Denver that they would win the series.  I have no reason to change now. 

In 2007, Warriors took one of the first 2 in Dallas.  Swept them at home (1 blowout and 1 by 4 pts).  Then came out flat in Dallas and managed to come back and still momentum.  Even after the Warriors blew Dallas out in Game 6, people mentioned how the comeback in game 5 was responsible for deflating any momentum that Dallas has gained.  This series is playing out the same (Heck, there even another HOLE in the visitors locker room due to frustration).
