is JRU a weak team? why are they getting 17 points?

Yes they are. They are stronger last year and still got lost both games by 16 and 32. San Beda is only around 6-8 points weaker sans Pascual and Sudan but has showed that they can still out score any team. They will probably win this by 15 or so.

In my own opinion, BEDA will not play their hearts out for this useless 
no bearing game. They don't want their stars to be injured for this game. We all know their next game would be against SSC
