Is that all everyone ever talks about on here? Holy crap. There’s more talk about scripts, players missing shots on purpose, teams not covering on purpose, etc than there is on sports / gambling. Do you really believe it or is it just for jokes / your entertainment / trolling? Do you realize the level of cooperation and secrecy from EVERYONE involved that would be required for there to be a “fixed” game in a major North American sport? Sure there has been a shady ref in the past, but a full blown conspiracy? Just stop it. It’s garbage.

I already mentioned Tom Donaghy. One referee making a few calls to try and influence a game is much different than an entire team conspiring to cover or not cover a line.

Or a league conspiring to affect an outcome. They might want certain outcomes of course, but implementing measures to affect the outcome is plain fantasy. It wouldn ruin their business.

Have been backing Sixers all series but I just don’t see them winning in the Garden tonight. If they put it together, they definitely should win by double digits with their talent. But Vegas is thinking it’s gonna be a close game, and in a close game which will have the atmosphere of a Game 7, I give the edge to the home team. GL.

um, you can’t compare sports with slots. Of course they can control slots. They can’t control sports. They have an edge in sports through juice / vig.

if sports wagering becomes legal across the board, commissioner Silver already stated it wants it to be known the NBA wants its share of % of all money wagered on anything related to and with the NBA...

Depends how you define "superior". On paper, I think Philly has more talent for sure. But the Celtics had a better record, are up 3-1 in the series (yeah, that could be different but it's not the reality), have the better coach, and are at the Garden where they're undefeated so far. Milwaukee had way more talent too and could have been defined as the "superior" team depending on how you looked at it. I give the slight edge to Boston tonight for sure but would not be surprised at all to see Philly put a game together with all their talent. A couple of calls go Philly's way, just like a couple calls could go Boston's way. It really is random, trust me. People see what they want to see and make storylines and conspiracies, but at the end of the day, with a large sample size, the reffing is random.
