After 3 minutes of gametime i can already call my bet a loss and unlike other types of bets i am 99% right
When the 1st quarter is a run and gun affair and 60 points is scored, im still shitting bricks because i know the 2nd quarter will slow down completely and probably come down to the last shot
When a team scores 4 points in the first 6 minutes of play, they will continue to suck and i know it.

In previous years I have been a massive overs bettor too. I hate betting on unders and have to hope for boring games, I like betting on free flowing affairs but I am feeling your pain. The weird thing about unders is that 45 minutes of good scoring can keep your bet going but then only as little as 3 bad minutes can completely ruin it. It's doing my head in

not only that, UNDERS go under by like 15+ points on many occassions
look at orlando and San Antonio , not even fucking close and it went into OT
the schedule and lockout have killed these teams, i suggest everyone pick under
I realize that soon the lines will adjust as will teams....which sucks because not only have i lost the opportunity but ive lost thousands of dollars chasing overs

There is is a good article I read this morning: https://www.usatoday.com/sports/basketball/nba/story/2012-01-16/NBA-scoring-down-as-teams-deal-with-compressed-schedule/52623888/1
It's so many things, condensed schedule meaning teams don't have time to work on anything. Also, the fact that teams are focusing on defense. The only team I can really think of who have been consistent high scorers without losing games have been Denver. Teams like Phoenix, Golden State, Oklahoma etc have all focused on defending this year because offense isn't going to win a ring.
With that said though, bookies will tighten the points totals eventually and that's when you need to start getting on the overs again. It'll be really interesting to revisit this at the end of the season and see how many games in April go over compared to January. I think there will be a lot more.
