With the 2-3-2 format, it's very difficult to win 3 straight home games. If Dallas wins twice at home, they'll have to win twice in Miami. Dallas is a very good road team, but don't forget how good of a home team Miami is. Miami is 8-0 at home this postseason. I think it'll be unfortunate for Dirk that Wade and company has stood is his way twice.

Like Miami myself, i think the Big Three plus improving bench out of Miller and Haslem, Heat will be a bit too much to handle by Dirk and short handed Mavs. Good luck!

i didnt say dirk will outscore the big 3 but can the big 3 outscore dallas AS A TEAM?
dallas beat the shit out of the lakers and im sure they can compete with miami. im not sure who's going to win but dallas IS NOT SHORTHANDED and they have the talent to beat any team even miami
anyway, good luck.

bosh- chandler/haywood/marion when james is rested or switched wade- stevenson james- marion
oh yah, the Mavs have that Dirk guy who can score
i agree Dirk can score and he has proved so, just not sure if marion, stevenson et el, could guard big three and make some serious baskets. Dirk could score 45 pts again but 45 along might not be enough for the game which i think big three could sum up ~70 to 80+ pts.

Mavs won twice in LA and twice in OKC. I don't see why they cant win twice in Miami. I dont think homecourt will matter in this series...both are great road teams and that's why theyve made it to the finals. i think this series will come down to who makes the shots in the clutch...should be lots of close games.
with that said, i think this goes back to dallas tied 1-1.
Couldn't have said it better, both are great road teams and home teams. so you could easily see both teams defending home court AND wining on the road which makes the whole series that much more intriguing. If i didn't look at the odds I would be stumped at giving a verdict on who will win at this point in time. My lean was dallas until i saw there series odds at $2.75 which is crazy imo considering all the factors.

you forget that LAKERS got BLOWN OUT from MIAMI at LA early in the season where talks about miami in a chemistry slump...but they go on a 21 out of 22 game streak...and yes dallas as swept miami in the season...but u forget that it was with curon butler and now miami has been playin better than ever with the help of miller, chalmers, udonis and bibby...so there's no way to really say that dirk is way better than 3...and u can't say miami as a team don't play defense...dont get me wrong dallas is a very good team...but dont you think lebron and wade with all the weight on their shoulders really let the mavericks end their finals just like that after the year long struggles and hatred they've been through...its just my opinion...i see lebron gettin his first ring and dallas packin bags and making big moves next year...but good luck to both teams...it should be good!!!! i just dont see dallas woopin miami like that especially with miami having the revenge factors from the season sweep and the drive for lebron and bosh's first rings. BOL!!

Because Miami protects home court better than the Lakers and OKC combined. Lakers weren't going anywhere this playoffs and OKC well OKC had a Westbrook infection that appeared to have personal goals set above the team.

Any you really think Lakers and OKC are on the same level last Miami? Look at the committment to defense and the desire to win.

Dirk will go all-in, so will James and Bosh in this series. i just think, Heat have more weapons, play better defense and own the home court advantage in this series.

Home court is not as important in the playoffs as it is in the regular season..... alot of home teams are benficiaries of catching teams on back to backs and/or playing 4 games in 5 nights (eg a fatigue and game planning/preparation disparity), and the significance of home court is inflated (Nuggets are seemingly the biggest beneficiary of this).... Also, alot of the those home wins are against scrub n-playoff teams and you can throw them out when trying to assess home court advantage against a top playoff team.....
..... In the playoffs, the fatigue/game planning disparity is taken out of the equation. I am curious if anyone has good data on home winning percentages in the playoffs and regular season.
..... but that being said, home court does seem to be very important for Game 7's.

wait a minute here!....dallas has the best playoff record of all thes teams that made it!....they are 12-3 straight up so far....having coverd an unbelievable 13 of those 15 games!!!....they have taken down portland in six games ...the great lakers in four games and now just completed the okie take down in five games...and all of a sudden they have become the "short handed mav's"...what in the world do you mean by this...i think their bench has peformed superbly to creat those kind of stats...have you watched any of the games???...how in the hell are they "short handed"...nothing was brought up about being shorthanded so far in the playoffs!...and they havent lost anybody in the last week ...what in the world are you talking about, short handed???
