I'm not basing it on power ratings or HC value... I'm basing it on the fact that this is effectively the deciding game in this series, and definitely a must-win for OKC, who now has a great deal of confidence, playing against a Spurs team that is just looking older and older...

I'm not suggesting the oddsmakers should make it 3.5, because they wouldn't get 50/50 action, or close to it... I am suggesting the Spurs will be lucky to cover 3.5!

You are calling out someone else's logic after you just made this statement?  WTF has happened to the American education system... and yes, I am assuming you are American, because I can't imagine someone from any other country failing so badly in logic (or is it a math issue?)...

If I say the line should be Spurs (-3.5)... then how exactly do you draw the conclusion that I think OKC should be favored AT the Spurs?  Obviously what you MEAN to say is that I think OKC should be favored on a neutral court... although I strongly suspect you don't realize that is what you mean to say... given your use of CAPS on the word AT!

    Why am I even bothering?

Since OKC beat them last game in San Antonio, it wouldn't be unfair to say they should be favored. Fair line would be PK since SA isn't the same 40-0 home team.

But the books want to get people on the wrong side so they make OKC heavy underdogs and make people 2nd guess the play, or some will even over think it and play san antonio.

I am taking the generous vegas daily gift with OKC ML and not going to worry about it.

It's not on a neutral court though, it's in SA. So saying the Spurs shouldn't even be -3.5 in this game at home means you're saying OKC should be favored. And saying OKC should be favored on a neutral court means you don't know anything about the NBA.

    1)  No... it does not mean that!  Are you really that bad at math?  Saying the Spurs shouldn't (maybe)  be favored by 3.5, does NOT mean that OKC should be favored... it means the Spurs shouldn't be favored by THAT MUCH!  It is almost incomprehensible somebody can not know the difference between those two statements...

    2)  I never said OKC should be favored on a neutral court... although, if game 5 WAS on a neutral court, I would be inclined to bet OKC as a pick 'em in that game.  But that doesn't mean I would expect OKC to actually BE a pick 'em in that game.  It just means I would bet on them in that situation.  However, it is not on a neutral court... it is in San Antonio.

I'm not suggesting the oddsmakers should make it 3.5, because they wouldn't get 50/50 action, or close to it... I am suggesting the Spurs will be lucky to cover 3.5!

No I didn't!  I bet the Spurs in that series... that was a gift!

If you made your point clear in the original post, there wouldn't have been confusion. Ever think of that?

There's very little chance SA Spurs lose this series and I got big money to back it up by adding more $ to my SA Spurs series bets.  Only way SA Spurs lose if K.L. Or L.A. goes down with an injury.  Watch OKC take a beating in game 5 tonight, SA Spurs will be motivated after seeing Warriors win last night and will win easily by double digits tonight.

I think its def possible but will be very tough and yes their best chance will be to win the next two games but it just aint going to happen. They will need to earn it in game 7.

    Spurs in 7..

OKC big problem..lack of consistent trust in team members by the big 2 and stupid turnovers .. Game 3 was winnable if either didn't happen but ask your self? Can you trust these guys who have not shown true leadership? It's 2 on5 in late stages SA uses multiple options .. Hence its very risky betting OKC .. Counter examples - were you worried about Wade or Curry last night late?

Westbrook will go back to his old ways and chuck 20 more shots than durant .  Spurs more experience team . This series goes 7 and final game will be a toss up .

Exactly Those were my "Over thinking it" points.

My "Keeping it Simple" point is that OKC has the fire in their eyes and I believe they are coming into tonight to win. Honestly, never noticed that kind of fire in their eyes ever....probably because they knew inside that it wasn't their time yet. I think this year will be different.

Wow MGM and LC on OKC tonight? That is surprising as I respect you both.
After tonight I will still respect you but this is one of those threads you will scratch your head after tonight and wonder what you were thinking.
    Spurs cover 7 no problem.

Is the reason you are so sure about your bet, because Spurs are coming off a loss?

If OKC loses, we can still profit from them on game 6.

Mark Cuban disagrees with this kind of statement

He starts going off about that at the 3 minute mark

Just read in another thread "The whole world will be on OKC for game 6"

So if that is true, let me get this straight...We go from "Hardly anyone" to the "Whole world" after one game?

Obviously I disagree with that, and I think that spurs will have even action. Lots of people are set on the spurs, thinking they are the better team. They don't see the hunger in OKC's eyes.

OKC ML game 6 shaping up to be one of the easiest bets of the playoffs
