Angles for HOU/CHI game?

So far from what I'm reading, those that are backing the Rockets are using the reason that they'll cover is because they "need" this win in order to stay in playoff contention and they're a good road team ats.

And for Chicago (which is the team I'm on), is that they're going to bounce back from that horrific lost at the hands of okc and having the addition of rip hamilton should see an increase in points for the game being rose is out again.

Spread is now Bulls-8 and 42% of the public is on them while Houston has the majority of spread bet, but money line wagers heavily favored for Chicago. 

Anyone else has their reasons as to why theyre either on Houston or Chicago?

I'm thinking if they need their wins, they got lakers, sac and blazers up next for their road schedule. I don't think they're going to get it done here against a Chicago team that bounces back in spectacular fashion after a double digit loss. I checked. Lol

I agree with glendef62...if people are on Houston just because they need a win that's definitely not a good enough reason on it's own...

Some teams respond well in must win situations and some don't...now if someone could supply some data that shows Houston is one of the teams that responds well...there is no reason to make a play...

Rockets won't cover here against Chicago, but will cover against the lakers in LA. I hope theyll be getting at least 5.5 - 7 points against them. I think I'll be taking Houston on 4/6 with three days rest against the lakeshow.

Most teams don't win in "must-win" situations, otherwise, we'd have 20+ teams in the playoffs.

Same with college hoops, the if all the bubble teams won, the tournament field would be 90+.

The Rockets won and covered 17 of last 18 when playing after 1 overtime loss. And their only loss in this situation came as +4.5 underdogs when they lost by 5 in overtime @ Boston earlier this season. So, basically, the Rockets havent lost in regulation in last 18 after one overtime loss. The play here is on Houston Rockets +8 against Chicago Bulls.

Kyle Lowry ( Infection ) and Kevin Martin ( Shoulder )out indefinitely. Who is going score for Houston . Chicago will cover ats.

Chicago needs this game simply because they are only 1 game up on the Thunder now for best record in the league and a guaranteed home court advantage in finals if they make it.  When it comes to the spread, not sure if they will cover for sure but they have won by 9+ points every time after a loss except for 2 times this year.  Those 2 times that they didn't win by 9,  they won by 7 and 6 points.  They haven't lost 2 in a row yet this year either.  You could take the ML with another ML and parlay them but I am going to be going with Chicago -8.

If both teams have equal motivation to win, then talent and team play have to be the determining factors. I would think that Chicago has more talent and better team play than Houston, therefore Chicago is the play here - slightly.

This is a bad spot for houston imo. Houston is among the worst at opponent field goal percent at giving a whopping 48% on the road.(only charlotte bobcats are worse on road)   Houston is rock solid playing at home but not on the road. (8-17 record). Stats show that chances are bulls will shoot high percent and observation and everything else show bulls have a rock solid defense.  bad combination for houston
