Visually, it was very cool. They did some different things with it. Morgan Freeman as usual was great. There's a part where he questions if man is ready, and how she answers is so spot on it's ridiculous. What's cool too is that she answered in the exact way I thought she would.
I wished it had been a little longer because it did seem short, and of course because I liked it.
Good flick. Watch it.
i was personally overhyped to see this movie so i was a little let down after watching it...probably my own fault for expecting sooooo much from it
still a very solid movie overall

Fire in the Sky (1993) D.B. Sweeney, Robert Patrick, James Garner.
An Arizona logger mysteriously disappears for five days in an alleged encounter with a flying saucer in 1975.
2.5 dog bones. Good cast. It was an interesting story. Of course you ask was this guy on drugs or did he really witness a UFO. I go back and watch some of these movies and I am like does time fly or what. Hard to believe that James Garner has passed on now.

Out of Africa (1985) hard to believe this classic is 30 years old. "tour de force" by both Meryl Streep as Karen Blixen (upon whose novel about her life in Africa in the early 20th Century the movie is based on) and Robert Redford as Denys Finch Hatton her lover. also stars Klaus Maria Brandauer as Bror Blixen - Hans Blixen, Karen's husband from whom she is separated. GREAT movie which won Oscars for Best Picture, Best Director (Sydney Pollack) and Best Original Score (John Barry). also Oscar nominations for Best Actress (Meryl Streep) and Best Supporting Actor (Klaus Maria Brandauer). plays again on HD Net Movies in HD again Sunday February 22nd @ 3:15pm & 9:05 pm pacific time. I highly recommend it and rate it

Breach (2007) Chris Cooper, Laura Linney, Ryan Phillippe.
FBI upstart Eric O'Neill enters into a power game with his boss, Robert Hanssen, an agent who was put on trial for selling secrets to the Soviet Union.
2.5 dog bones. I remember reading about this in the paper many years ago. Hanssen got away with this for many years until finally caught. He currently is in a prison in Colorado solitary confinement for 23 hours a day.
Chris Cooper did a good job and Laura Linney was her usual self. Phillippe does ok. I would have rated the movie higher but nothing really exciting or that much of a thriller. Just basically told the story of how Hanssen was caught.

'Taking Lives' w/Angelina Jolie.
Could have been good but once you find out who the killer is the whole first half of the movie makes no sense. Thumbs down.
Spoiler: Why would he call the cops on himself and try and frame Kiefer? He's a killer, he would have just killed him. And why was he under the bed at the mom's house?

End of Watch (2012) Jake Gyllenhaal, Michael Pena.
Shot documentary-style, this film follows the daily grind of two young police officers in LA who are partners and friends, and what happens when they meet criminal forces greater than themselves.
2.5 dog bones. No holding back in this film. If you have a problem with foul language then this is not for you. At first, I was like wtf this feels like a home movie. After awhile I got used to it. They were trying to show what it's like to be an L.A. cop. What they go thru on a daily basis. It grows on you the longer you watch. You have to stay with it. Not a movie I will watch again but certainly not a bad movie.

Uninhabited (2010) Geraldine Hakewill, Tasia Zalar
Young couple go to a remote and deserted coral island for a camping holiday, only to find that the island is inhabited by a ghost seeking retribution for a past outrage.
1.5 dog bones. It was a low budget film and I wasn't expecting a whole lot but it was even worse than my expectations.
