It would be fun to see a 1-game 'playoff' between Red Sox and Tampa for the right to go to the post-season.

the most interesting thing about this scenerio would be that neither team would be able to throw their best pitcher.. beckett and Shields both went last night and Price/Lester both go tomorrow..

Unfortunately, The Yankees remember the series as well.  Would not count on much help from the Yankees.

But we are getting ahead of ourselves...  Boston has to win the next 2 games to get into a playoff.  They have won 6 the whole month of September...  Why the hell are they going to get up for 2 straight games ?

This is a far worse collapse.  Up 9 games in the 2nd week of September and losing the lead, with the so-called best team in baseball.  Where is all that great pitching Boston has, Beckett got lit up last night, Lester on Sunday, who is next.

As a Yankees Fan,  I laughed when theybBlew the 3-0 lead in the ALCS.  I am finding this as equally funny.  You just have to have a sense of humor. 

At least you still have The Tom Brady Dick Sucking Festival to listen to the reat of the year.  I mean C'mon announcers, He's a Great QB but it's a little annoyng listen to that when your trying to watch the Game.

oh woops red sox thread. bedard going off as a -153 favorite is insane.
never go against a streak and the sox sure are in one.
you can see the orioles have alot of confidence. sox can't get a clutch hit to save their lives. been a diehard sox fan for over 40 years but money is money. and the orioles will be paying my bills this week.
