Threw together some bullshit ass 8 teamer this morning, eyes crusted shut and all.  Honestly, I've never won a parlay before and look at it as playing the lotto.

He can't wait until then. I think you should put enough on Boston to at least get your parlay back, since its probably not much money since its the lotteray and Chicago can still lose. But isn't this to avoid the sweep? I think Chicago might have the motivation to win today.

Plus right now you have the advantage. Pitt had 2 days of offense, now they have just 4 hits. in 6 innings. Dempster's out, Chicago's pen has a 3.26era collectively. Go ahead and pretend Chicago is a win... but don't hedge with a normal amount, go smaller. If Chicago wins, I still feel like Detroit's gonna win this one too.

Thx guys.  As much as I hate it, I'm taking Boston for the hedge.   I hate this play.

If you ever have the opportunity to buy your bet back on a long-odds parlay, you should do it.  Otherwise, parlays will forever be a drain on your bank account.  Think about parlays as having a small hole in your bathtub.  You can always get your bathtub full, but you'll never be able to keep it like that without running water.  Hedging a parlay is like putting your finger on the leak.
