The Guardians are looking to avoid the sweep, and throw their ace in Parker Messick today, but the problem there is, the Yankees lead MLB in OPS vs lefty pitching. Now that is with Judge in the line up, which he is still out, but I think its the Yankee arms that are the difference today. The bullpen has been great over the last 10 days or so, and I expect more of the same, with a solid outting by Rodon.

The Giants suck. It's that simple. They don't do anything well. Included in that, is hitting lefties, which they will see to start today. The Giants start their own lefty, but the problem there is, the Nats rank just behind the Yanks in the OPS line vs lefties. Ray has been super inconsistent, and against the bats of the Nats, that probably doesn't end well for him. The Nats have a chance to go 5-1 on the west coast trip, and are 17-9 @ Oracle Park in their last 26 games.

Michael King hasn't been great in his last three starts, but he's shown that he has the stuff to shut down offenses. And the Reds may have used whatever firepower they have in the line up, last night. I don't trust them to be able to score 5 again, and without Burns on the bump, and their pen getting all kinds of action last night, I don't think they have the pitching to keep the Padres to 3 runs again. Worth the play for me at this number.

Ty for the write ups! The Giants have been crushing the ball the past 10 games or so but that is misleading cause 3 of those game were double digit, feast or famine. I do think Ray get's lit up here,I love the over even more.

Parades is making his first MLB start, and I don't suspect him to be out there for long. And anything that comes out of that Twins pen is liable to get rocked. The Tigers are on a tear right now, winning 6 of the last 7, and doing it with the bats, scoring 5 or more in all of those wins. Valdez hasn't been spectacular, but he's been good enough, and vs this very mediocre Twins line up, good enough so get it done. They are in the bottom third of the league in OPS vs lefties.

This is a total fade of Max Scherzer. He just doesn't have anything left in the tank. It's been a great career but time for him call it. He gave up 17 ER in his last three starts before hitting the IL. Not pitching certainly isn't going to help a bad pitcher get better. All of that, while his offense probably isn't going to score many runs behind him. I'll be on Schwarber to HR tonight.

In the midwest we got a saying that goes like this, "if it ain't broke, don't fix it". So I won't.
Milwaukee Brewers -104
I'll take this line up in a coin flip vs just about anyone. The pitching match up is a wash, with the Brewers having the better bullpen, but it's going to be a slug-fest, and I think that favors Milwaukee.
