Boston’s bats have been ice fucking cold for a month. Over the last 30 days they’re hitting just .224 with a .298 OBP, .365 slugging and .663 OPS, averaging only 3.12 runs per game. They’ve scored just 81 runs in 26 games over that stretch and struck out 228 times.
The MLB Playoffs are here.

I’ve looked at this Padres game all day and I still like San Diego. The bats are swinging it well, I like the matchup against Gausman, and the first five -0.5 definitely has my attention.
The only pause is Chicago’s lineup has plenty of upside and Pivetta’s recent results have been a little better than the underlying numbers. So I’m not forcing a second play before I see how the Yankees game develops.

Yeah at 7.5, I lean OVER, but I don’t like it as much as the Padres side/F5 angle.
The case is pretty straightforward. San Diego is absolutely seeing the ball right now 27 runs over its last three games, including eight last night and Gausman has been giving up too much hard contact and home-run damage. Chicago, has real offensive upside against right-handed pitching even though it looked dead last night.
What keeps me from loving the over is Petco and the bullpens

@LVTruck Good luck LVTruck, Yankees are 12-0 in their last 12 Wednesday games against the Red Sox.
Love your work but this is a meaningless statistic. Supports confirmation bias only
