Secondly, I don't know of anybody who "has a lot of money and knows how to pick winners" waking up at 3 a.m. in a cold sweat, or looking to flee the country due to his mounting debt, or refinances their house and takes out $500,000 to gamble with. Were you "picking winners" at the virtual dog track?

Good call on your Mets, your one step closer to "winning". I always root for the gambler, never the bookie, but in this case, I might make an exception. The Cubs seem to be a team of destiny. Good Luck.....

lots of people come on here and talk , its the internet with anonimity.

like that guy mgmprofits who use to come on and say he was winning his parlays for 3 weeks straight, living the life on the vegas strip like a professional gambler, when in reality he was a drug addict living off his grandmothers allowance for rent and drugs and gambling.

couldnt even hold down a job cuz of his drug addiction.

That right there doesn't read to me as a guy who "has lots of money and knows how to pick winners"

To me, it says:

"If the Mets don't win the World Series, I'm putting a gun in my mouth and pulling the trigger"......

You are obviously an educated man. So you will without a doubt quite easily take to heart what I am about to say. 
I however have absolutely no control over how you respond...it IS in fact none of my business.

"Short and sweet", I really and honestly hope you lose.  I hope you lose so you can finally hit the proverbial rock bottom.  (if you think you have then I was wrong about you being educated.) Once you have then you begin the lifelong process on surviving your disease that has nothing to with gambling (gambling is NOT your problem, you are a loser at it. You don't know how to gamble, you are terrible at it...take your pick. Your disease is with your heart, mind and soul.
So yes....Please lose.  And WHEN you do please get help.

This entire story is true. I was a groomsman at GD's wedding. At his reception he lost $200,000 playing paper, rocks and scissors. Then, before his wife found out, he snuck over to Chevy Chase's Vegas Vacation casino and won it all back playing guess how many fingers the dealer is holding up behind his back.

This is a crazy thread; very interesting reading. I don't know if it's true, but hope you cash if it is true. Maybe a lil' insurance on the other team(s), but definitely rooting for your success. If you can document this in any way; I think Hollywood would love the script! Peace out!!

lolol i got a good laugh out of this one. Im 6 W's away and had the chance to celebrate last night at citi field. If this pans out i might have to write a nice gift cheque to dan murphy. As much as i would love to post a nice wells fargo wire transfer on this forum i refuse to do so because i do not want certain individuals finding out about my net worth cough cough ex wife. Her lawyer is a leach and I am sure he is well aware of my gambling habits and what and where i frequent. The pedal is on the metal and Im not slowing down anytime soon
