Brilliant move by Pujols. He can DH later in his career. He would have been a fool to pass up all that money. He gave Cards all he had. 2 world series rings. Was the best player in baseball the majority of his career in St. Louis and was never paid like it.

Makes sense why Tony retired. He knew Pujols was going to leave to the AL probably. Obviously him and Pujols were tight and it makes sense that they move on from the Cards at the same time together. 

Btw this is NOTHING like Lebron.

Pujols is a true champion he brought 2 rings to St. Louis and played his heart out

Vernon Wells kicked in the 3 year player option for 25 or 26 mill a year too. Boy nobody saw that coming 

 25 mill a year for a player that hits his weight .230 

Question now is Pujols at 1st. Kendry Morales DH. Trumbo trade bait but he has a sub .300 obp so they probably won't be able to get a great prospect even though Trumbo has power.

yeah, Pujols can be assigned as DH when Kendrys Morales get back from IR next season.

Mike Scioscia couldn't be happier when this deal hit the deck, while CJ Wilson might be an Angels as well.

As a lifelong Cardinals fan, this is very upsetting. Albert would have went down as the biggest legend in St. Louis Cardinals history. What really sucks is that he hasn't reached some milestone numbers yet. He is sitting at 445 home runs. He will undoubtedly reach 500 career home runs and most likely 600, but not with the Cardinals. He will with the Angels. He will most like;ly reach 3000 hits. But not with the Cardinals. He would have went down as the Cardinals greatest legend. But now he will never eclipse Stan Musuail, Bob Gibson, and Ozzie Smith. What a sad day.

Pujols will brings so much money to the Angels and other AL teams when the Angels visit them. Fans will be coming out the woodworks to see Pujols. Maybe it will even just be more than me at an A's game

 Arte Moreno, Jerry Dipoto bringing the Angels the best baseball player of all time ..with players like Pujols Weaver Trumbo and the best manager in baseball Mike Scioscia the Angels will dominate the AL for the rest of this decade

angels are smart. with all the crazy things going on with the dodgers, some fans will jump ship. la likes winners and will only back owners that are willing to spend money. this could make them more money in the end through fan support, and its not like moreno is struggling with money.

I doubt the Cardinals are going to spend anywhere near this on players this year.
