Picks for today

After a Teoscar Hernandez groundout, here comes Freddie Freeman with a THIRD chance to do something with two runners on base.

A passed ball allowed Edman to score and Hernandez to move over to third, but Freddie then failed again with a useless bouncer to second.

It’s all up to Will Smith now.

And to the surprise of no one, Smith fails and the Dodgers lose the first 5 innings. They went 0-7 with runners in scoring position.

I thought the Dodgers would snap out of the RISP slump yesterday of RISP 1-18, today 0-7, combined 2 days of 1-25. Disgusting.

Kyle Tucker Update: In his third at-bat worthless Kyle Tucker flied out to right.

He will still receive his $370,370 game check for this latest unhelpful performance.

Mookie Betts Update: In his fourth hopeless at-bat worthless Mookie tapped weakly back to the chuckling pitcher to end the 7th inning.

I’m not really sure why people are shocked by this?  They may win tn or they may not.  Either way, I’d put my house on the fact that most favs will win tm night.  These dogs winning will not last any more in Sep.  They’ve had their run over the last week.

Wow, tough night for the normally respected Freddie Freeman. He just struck out to complete his 0-4 night and he stranded 7 teammates. 

Fellas, you’re not gonna believe this, but for the second time tonight the toothpick-swinging Dodgers somehow loaded the bases (okay, it was three walks), and for the second time tonight they blew that opportunity. 

These poorly-managed zillionaires are now 0-8 with runners in scoring position.

Cardinals spineless closer Riley O'Brien, who just eleven days ago embarrassed himself, his family, and his teammates by turning in the 2026 Blown Save of the Year in Philadelphia when he failed to shut the door with his team leading 4-0 and needing him to record one more out, just barfed all over himself again, and frankly the Cardinals deserved it for continuing to use this frightened kid as their closer. His greatest sin tonight was not in caving in to Teoscar Hernandez. It came one batter earlier when he disgracefully walked automatic out Mookie Betts on 4 pitches.

When your team is one out away from victory, and all that is standing between you and postgame handshakes is worthless Mookie Betts, that HAS to be a done deal. Instead, Riley O'Brien wilted again and walked that washed-up stiff on four straight balls.

Unbelievable. He just got scared. I fucking hate athletes who shrink in fear in the big moments. I'm sure we all do.

Bottom line: Dodgers win! 

2 - 1 for today. But I still lost a little. Dodgers saved my ass by winning!
