Lifelong San Diego sports fan used to disappointment. Really thought 2024 was their year but it turned out they were the 2nd best team in MLB that season and Dodgers were no. 1 as bullpen shut San Diego out for many many innings.

Cubs are wisely going with a bullpen game as Imanaga has been shaken recently. Cease has I think 1 win all year on road and road ERA around 5.50. Machado sucks in the playoffs and I suspect Tatis has been playing injured for several months, sapping him of the power. Padres are having their no. 4 hitter bunting in a playoff game.....absolutely maddening. 

Cubs finish this 6-2 tomorrow.

I agree with you. Watching them has been very frustrating. Took them today after boycotting them for so long. Took them f5 and whole game only to be reminded of why i hate them.
