I loved nineties and early 2000's baseball. We used to go up to the old AT&T park and watch Bond's jack homerun's into the Bay. He had the best hand eye coordination and baseball instincts I've ever seen on a human being. He could call a better game than the home plate umpire could. He and Clemens got greedy, but they should both be in the hall of fame, no doubt about it.

ESPN was great for 20+ years when it was focused on "programming for dudes". They had a couple hot anchors and some eye candy on the sidelines, Sportscenter was borderline "must see TV", every show was geared toward the red-blooded American male sports fan and you know, SPORTS!!!!! Now the shows suck, the content sucks, the announcers suck, the coverage sucks, they've got chicks calling every male sport, and every other story is about tranny this or politics that or whatever the woke talking point of the day is. I never watch ESPN, unless they have a game on I want to watch, and then I only watch it on mute.
God is great, beer is good, and people are crazy.

Sports were at its best when the world series was on in the afternoon and nba finals were on tape delay. Bring me back to those old days. O and when you had to walk 50 miles back and forth to the arena. The good old days

I recall a game between the Giants at St Louis, and McGwire during his 70 homer season hits a line drive deep to left field that ricoheted off Bonds webbing and bounced over the fence. It was hit that hard. That probably triggered Bonds experimentation. But no doubt Bonds and Clemens were both great even before they put on 40 lbs of muscle in their mid 30s
