MLB Daily 2024 / ($1.00 is my unit, 100 units per play)
Record 16-16-4, +4.18, RoR +0.13%
5/31
F5 Orioles -140, Civale/Suarez
Civale is having a less than impressive season and shows no reason to fear. The Orioles have groomed Suarez to step into a starters role and the transition is looking good. Only 4 innings in his initial appearance as a starter and a full 5 days rest since. He should be ready to rock, and the O’s offense is far superior to the Rays.
F5 Astros -113, Lopez/Blanco
Again, superior pitching and offense. The Twins were lucky to pull out a 3-1 home series win over the Royals and take a less than impressive Lopez and offense to Houston against an Astros team whose main problem has been pitching, especially starting pitching, but they don’ face that problem today, and certainly not in the 5 inning game.
F5 Padres -120, Cease/Wacha
It is a broken record, but superior pitching and offense are the keys to 5 inning baseball. Cease is clearly superior to Wacha and the Padres offense is undervalued here. They have a fine 17-10 Away record, a slightly better record against +500 teams and an acceptable 21-19 record vs right-handed starters.
There you go. Old Key is stepping out tonight and probably can’t get bitten in all three by rainouts or pitching changes. Sorry, not a dog in the bunch, and overall it looks like a home-favorite night, the Padres being the exception.

Careful bud, I had that option, but Lynch was a whole different handicap and much less likely winner, F5 winners were very lucky when he escaped a bases loaded, one out situation. Everything matters.

He is all wrapped up in fishing. New boat, new contests, blah, blah, blah. I also think there is a woman involved (). He drops in occasionally but seems to have lost interest in baseball (I always suspected there was something mentally wrong with that boy!)

I should also tell you if you are going to look at 5-inning baseball you ABSOLUTELY CANNOT disregard anything regarding pitching. The 5 inning game is twice as dependent on the starters as is the 9 inning game. DON'T FORGET THAT.

Yes, I saw you had Singer but then the pitching change happened. I actually liked it just as much with Lynch, hence why I played it. Like you said, everything matters and Lynch was able to get out of that situation and win the F5. He was taken out at 72 pitches and all hell broke loose smh

Ah, I played the consistent history of Cease and am highly suspicious of Wacha. Difference of opinion is not a bad thing, if we didn't have it there would be no sports gambling.

Lots of good A vs B looks with the starters F5. Starters no longer trying to conserve or pace in the mid innings as they know they'll get pulled by pitch count or whatever anyway so seeing more effort to really mix it up second time through the lineup.

Kids don’t understand because they’ve never witnessed MLB. But betting on today’s Single-A players (at best) is nothing more than a coin flip and a losing proposition for everyone.
@KeyElement
This was his answer, he just went with negative on players again.
GL today, 3 plays today, weeble thinks no scoring today.
