Johnny Damon is open to joining the Blue Jays, according to MLB.com's Jordan Bastian.

We also heard that Scott Boras, Damon's agent, was trying to engage the Reds and Tigers.

Scott Boras is willing to talk to every team in baseball if he can get the most money he can get. I just hope some team gives him more than $7 million per because the Yanks' initial offer was 2 years $14...which was obviously declined. It would be really sad if Damon takes $5 million when he could be in NY again.

Damon better get his head out of the clouds. How could he possibly turn down $14 million from the Yanks? The Yankees were the perfect situation for him. I think he will be lucky to get $5 million now. I hope that he winds up in Cincy. Poetic justice for that windbag........BORAS.

Nah...I think he'll say that he joined the Reds to "hopefully help put a young team into contention and put them on the right path for years to come." Even though we all know he was looking for the most money possible.

Stupid Giants!!! Damon can definitely help them!!! The Giants are KNOWN NOT to spend money, that's why they haven't won a world series in San Francisco!!! By NOT spending money for REALLY GOOD talent, tells me that they DO NOT want to WIN & they are letting their fans down. SOON, the SF fan base will begin to deminish, due to this. Instead of getting 35 to 40,000 a game like they get now, they are going to get 15 to 20,000 at best!! That's going to be EMBARASSING to the Giants, especially after having the BEST ball park in the major leagues!!! I've been a Giants fan all of my life & will continue to be a Giants fan, BUT it gets really FRUSTRATING when your team is CLOSE to winning the NL West, Pennant & possibly the world series, IF they were to sign a REAL GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOD player!!!

the last time they spent money, it was on Zito so it's understandable why they're gun shy at this time.  Besides, Damon will not help this team.  They need a power hitter.
