Is there 1 team with a BP you can count on?

Used to be Royals, now I can't think of 1 team I would feel comfortable turning the ball over to.

Mariners with a 4 run lead in the 9th and 1 out and POS Gas Cans Wilhelmsen, Smith and Rasmuussen give up 3 runs on 8 batters fcking up my -1 RL- and these guys are acting like they just won the World Series

Mostly as of late. It just seems that if there is a 2-4 run lead, it's almost guaranteed that even if the BP doesn't blow the game, they give up a couple of runs. As I said earlier, if you gave the Royals a lead from the 7th on, it was as good as a win.

Tonight, for instance, M's hold Rockies to 4 Runs through 8, then 3 different Relievers give up 3 runs in the 9th.

Just like I alluded to- Scioscia make that change, and it's much closer than it needed to be. I mean, if Richards were in trouble, then maybe make the change, but he gave up a walk, then got a K. So the textbook on Situational Baseball says to make the change, so he does.

Just like Mattingly reading the book, rather than his instincts yesterday, and it came back to bite him.

Just hope Street doesn't need the 2 run lead that he should've had coming into the bottom of 9.

That's exactly my point about Situational Baseball. You don't need a Manager simply hire some computer whiz kid that can read all the statistics/ analytics ect and Play by the Book. I brought this up last night with Mattingly giving the game away because he went by the Book rather than using his gut feel and knowledge of his Pitchers/ skills. Same thing Scioscia did tonight, that came back to bite, but not kill them, which it very easily could've.

You think Laussa, Cox, Martin, Stengal, Sparky.........relied on that crap when making their Managerial decisions?

Anyway, I'm getting off the track of the original Thread. To your question Austin- yes I would feel very comfortable going into the 7th w the lead and K.C. B.P, but they've been more vulnerable lately than earlier in the year. Along with most BP's like Picks alluded to above.

Bottom line is Angels won, but didn't need to make it as close as it was because playing Situational, rather than Instinctual seem to cause more lost opportunities than it creates- not just tonight, but overall in recent MLB.

More than enough B.S. from me. However, I did lose my RL wager on the M's game tonight due in whole to crappy BP's

So pardon me for being skeptical of your "Script" (ya- you called it tonight), but why are you wasting time with us "mere mortals' when you should be off sailing your private Yacht form all your gambling profits  since you know every outcome of every game and should either be rich beyond your means from wagering or going Tout? Just seem too easy....and again WHY?

And since only the "chosen Few" are handed the script, how do you decide which games there are scripts for- or are you saying there are scripts for every game to some extent.

I mean, do you just wake up in the morning and look at the Games/ Lines and say to yourself...."hmmmm- this Game is going to be Scripted, and here is the cast and the outcome? And if that is the case, why aren't you wagering heavy on what you perceive how the script is played out. Even if you're right a majority of the time, you should have odds/ outcomes better than the best Cappers on this Forum
