Dodgers/Mets (Game 3, 10/16/24)

What's happening all!? Another day, another play. Let's get to it.

I don't have much time for a write-up, so I'll just mention a few things and be on my way:

1) My pick today is not necessarily an endorsement of Walker Buehler. I understand he's not the same guy from a few years ago. However, he's also not as bad as some are making him out to be. He's serviceable and should be able to do enough to keep LA in the game, at least for 4-5 innings.

2) I'm more concerned about Luis Severino and his inability to pitch in the clutch. His career post season stats leave a lot to be desired. Across 13 games (55 innings); he's only had 3 quality starts, owns a 2-4 record, 5.01 ERA, and 1.47 WHIP. I don't trust him to keep the LA lineup in check.

3) The bullpens could be the difference tonight. I realize I faded LA's pen the last game. However, that was a situational spot. They're still the 4th ranked bullpen in MLB and they'll be in their traditional role tonight. If Severino is in his post season form, I'm afraid the Mets 18th ranked pen may get exposed.

Dodgers are slightly favored at -115.

Dodgers and Yankees are also very public teams, esp postseason time.

Dodgers are getting 85% of the money and 58% of the bets (from "SB dime"), same 58% from "Action Network" is being reported. LAD are a public road favorite, and if they're correct, they're catching decent odds.
