The best piece of advice I've gotten regarding big favorites in baseball:
If you have enough confidence to lay -340 then you should be just as confident in laying -1.5 runs
That is simply not true, especially with a home favorite. There is a darn good reason they will give you a much better payout for laying -1.5 and it ain't charity brother.
Now and then even a BLIND squirrel can find an acorn

Do it bud we will all root/pray for you cause it sounds like a lot of people are jumping on this play as well in some way shape or form I even have this as part of a multi team parlay so I'm rooting for Detroit too. But dropping your bank roll on one game? I would personally never but their is also sayings like god hates a coward, go big or go home, he who hesitates... Well need I say further? Lol best of luck no matter what you do bud.

But if your use to playing 2-3 units per play and you try to win 1 unit on this game minus whatever .... perfectly OK if you deem the odds to be right ......
Forget the money line its all about if your getting the proper odds
and again I think Detroit -360 is warranted in this match up or even better the run line
Either you make a unit or lose three nothing more nothing less

My point is..... No sense in paying 3.5 units to win 1 unit.... you would think in an "apparent mismatch" such as a team laying -350 that that team would "crush" their opponent.... so my point reduce the juice and hope for a blowout.....
You're not betting on a -350 favorite thinking their gonna squeek out a 1 run victory, you're saying to yourself... "oh man they're gonna roll this team"... yeah you're expecting a blowout...
and if the win by 1... so be it... but in the case they actually lose... you are saving yourself a ton of juice and now don't have to agonize on recouping those 3.5 units back....
