For whatever reason it may be, some hitters just have a select few pitchers dialed in...I mean owned to the point where it doesn't matter how many consecutive shut out innings or quality starts they've had.... This day they will get hit and hit well, and they know it. Here is my first reason the Rockies will beat San Diego today...

1) Andrew Cashner crushing right now posting a 1.29 era allowing only 3 earned runs over 21 innings. As confident as he may be at the moment at home preparing to take the series from Rockies, in the back of his mind he knows that there is no team that OWNS his ass more than the Rockies..in ~70 at bats combined Cuddyer, Arenado, Stubbs, Gonzo, LeMahieu, Rosario, Tulo, Dickerson, Blackmon have ~25 hits..(.357 BA), 8 doubles, 2 jacks, 10 RBI's...giving up a total of 8 earned runs over 19 innings to the Rockies in 2013.. Not the largest sample size but fairly significant....and how many of these hits were in COORS? not exactly sure...but doesn't matter too much to me.(0-3 7.16 ERA) against Rocks. ROCKIES own Cashner in my opinion, end of story. Now let's talk De La Rosa...

De La Rosa (0-2. 9.69 ERA) to start the season... Yikes! However in his last 3 starts at Petco he had given up only 4 earned runs....keeping Padres at ~.250 BA. w/ minimal extra base hits. Maybe being close to home with a lot of family and friends present gets him fired up..... Jorge deals at Petco, (3-0 1.88 ERA)...end of story!...oh there is more.
3) Trends for days that tightn up all this information... -Rockies 11-0 last 11 against Padres! -8-2 last 10 with Jorge against a team with a losing record, 39-13 last 52 -Cashner 2-6 last 8 starts vs. NL west...
4) Last but not least I straight up don't think Padres have NOT seen enough LHP this season so far to have quality at bats against Jorge today to win the game/series.
PICK: COLORADO F5 +130 (200/$260) COLORADO ML +140 ($200/280) May do reverse RL for a lil guy too.. GOOD LUCK!

like the write up ...do you play team totals, cause the rockies are only 3 at -120 not bad at all esp if they hit as well against cashner as you say BOL

This backup catcher will cost people money on this one. Passed ball to give the Padres the lead and then hits into a double play with the bases loaded soon after. Rosario wouldn't have made those mistakes. Dammit.
