 I'm on under but not because of the weather.

I can see several angles though: 

A constant sprinkle may have the pitcher leary of certain pitches which could bean the guy.

How annoying is it for the batter if the bat is slick? Is he always thinking it could fly out of his hands?

Base Runners need to be careful as as they slip trying to get back on a pickoff move In HS ball I picked off 5 runners trying to get back.i saw every one slipping so I just continued to throw over. 

I walked everyone of them..I threw harder than almost every major leaguer even today's major leaguers. I had a 3 foot breaker too.

 Actually guy I was not kidding and everything I told you was true. Nobody really got more than a chinker hit against me all thru out little league thru HS. 

Even walking a bunch if you were upper 90’s with that mean of a hook, had to be pretty impressive to see.  The glory days!!
