McShady, my Cards play was a chase, so I didn't know if I would win yesterday or another day. Just glad it won on the first game as juice is high today. I will reverse and chase Dodgers as nice dog on your 4-game sweep trend.

I'm wondering why the line is so low on the Pirates, sounds fishy but I'll bite and go with the sweep trend.

I'll hold my nose and try the Astros to avoid sweep even though it will probably be the team that ruins this trend many times from here on out. Hopefully not. Maybe the player will play hard and hope they get traded to a contender!

Total of the day lost again now 52-23, 19-5, and 9-4 as posted
 here. 2-2 last 4. Today's total goes against the Colorado over trend as the total is Colo/Ariz under 9. It opened at 9.5 and has been bet down. I may go with the trend as Colorado is I believe 29-1 in 3/4 game series with at least one over. Since the total of the day doesn't have the research or data behind it that McShady has so kindly given us I will probably take the over.

McShady, have you thought about fading Phillies F5 after what happened the last 2 nites? I believe you would have won.
Any thoughts on that?

Shady, Whats your opinion in totals chases when there's a push, do you like to continue or do you lay off? Just wondering on some opinions

I always like home favs to avoid sweep and since the Pirates are a  really good team I'm going to make it at least a 5 unit play. I may parlay with something if I can figure out before it starts.

As far as totals go when you Chase and the first game is a PUSH, i would continue the Chase. G2 Push i think i would stop. But to avoid that i look for totals at .5 an lock em in. Just like F5's they don push as often as you would think, its a small %. 


If the Phillies get their first Sweep today...ill stop the Chase. I think i ran that well dry and will focus on Home Unders. 

My wife only lets me play on the web  during vaca while the kids are sleeping. So ill be off the grid fir a couple hrs. GL Fellas

Angle I have read on here that you have some knowledge about the Houston Astro's. I have always wondered why the hell do they still allow that ramp in center field? The only reason I can come up with is its different, but I would think that a player might trip, break his ankle or something more serious. Just never understood why that stupid ramp is still there.

I wondered why that stupid ramp was built in the first place. It didn't make sense to me at all! If Craig Biggio would have gotten hurt playing center field there it would have probably been gone long ago!

 Being a fan since the mid 60's, I hated to see them leave the Astrodome. There is so much sentiment for this park that it still stands while wasting away on the inside.

I 'm thinking it will be gone in the near future as it costs millions to keep it as is. So sad, so much history there. A NICE place to watch a game in hot and humid Houston. Cool and comfortable. The first of it's kind. It will be missed and is missed by many of us.

Of course I haven't been to the new stadium and that might give me a different opinion. One year I saw 15 games in the dome and I live in north Texas and scheduled business trips around the Astros home games. I saw Nolan Ryan pitch into the 10th inning of a 1-1 game but I don't remember if they won. You could hear his fastball really pop the catcher's glove in that dome.

Looks like Dodgers and COL OVER and OAK UNDER for today.

 

Shady or anyone for that matter...  has anyone noticed that teams that sweep have lost Game 1 of the following series at a pretty good lick.    I dont have the numbers on me but its like 8-2 since the break. and a greater than 60% lick over the season.

I use FIP to evaluate pitching matchups and totals quite often. Ricky Romero ranked close to last on that list even before last nights game....lol

Are you looking to Fade a team that Swept the Series prior? Or just G1? And there have been 13 Sweeps since break (not counting the ones yester)
