I love my Jays, but it's a bit of a stretch to think they'll win the World Series. They have a chance, and could easily win the AL East (by far the best division in baseball), but I can't see them winning it all just yet. I don't think the Mariners will even make the playoffs.
But hell, if the Rockies can make it to the World Series anybody can.

long long way to go, I got Jays at +3800 or something like that but like I've said ever since January, if the pitching staff stays healthy they will be the best in the AL and maybe the majors, can't see who wouldn't take a shot at long odds like this with the potential of the pitching.

1st week of the season ............sweeping a team doenst mean much now
If you've been watching the Jays over the last couple seasons you'd understand my comment. I'm not saying there gonna win the world series, what im saying is if Gibbons doesnt coach like a jackass and if the injuries dont fuck us up we can make the post season then anything can happen.
Look at our starters. Compare them to the Yankees? Yankees starters blow. Compare them to the Sox, they arn't much better.

I totally agree they are a very solid team........ they will make some noise in that division with boston and ny........
its early yet i was kinda thinking detroit would be the team to beat in the AL... but its early
Detroit isn't even the team to beat in the AL Central. The Indians have a better team. Teams like the Yankees and Detroit can go out and spend millions and millions on hitters all they want. They won't be title contenders until their pitching is much better. The Tigers have one of the worst pitching staffs in the league, and their hitting isn't nearly good enough to bash their way into wins all season long.

IF KNOW ONE GET HURT TOR IS ONE OF THE BEST PITCHING STAFF IN BASEBALL. THE PRICE IS DROPING BUT I STILL THINK ITS A GOOD BET
they already have jansen one of there best bullpen options out for the year. he was prolly gonna be the 5th starter tho. don't need anymore injuries this year!

Toronto is really intriguing. Not sure what to make of them. 1 through 4 they could have as formidable a punch as anyone in baseball. But you don't know about Halladay and Burnett healthwise and McGowan and Marcum have to fend off sophomore slumps. Then on some days the bats are limp and then you have days like today.
All in all, there is a lot of upside. Saying World Series might be a bit much though.
