Last night was easily my worst bet since September 9, 2007 when I played under 8ish in a Felix Hernandez vs Jeremy Bonderman contest at Comerica Park, that bet was blown before 7 outs were recorded. In fact, last night might have been worse with Houston plating 7 runs before the Mariners even batted. But I did have faith in Bedard allowing the Mariners back in the game, he didn't, but the other Clemens didn't seem to mind.
Nonetheless, I think facing Houston and getting +140 for a home team RL wager is good business over the long haul, or at least until Houston shows something other than a bunch of strikeouts.
Tonight, I only get +125 for the same pleasure. In addition, I will be looking for a Dustin Ackley prop for total bases. I think Ackley is lost, and he keeps doing the same thing, expecting different results. Check out his new swing, and tell me of a single major leaguer who had success with that kind of approach. Ackley never struggled in college, and blasted through the farm system. It's likely he hasnt faced adversity on the baseball diamond since his tee ball days.
