69-49 overall and 15-7 in playoffs:

Yanks are hot but Astros are the better team imo. Astros bats should wake up and they know if they can get this one, Verlander gets a chance to close it out at home. Tough call tonite but I like me some Astros. Let's get it!

What a game! Jake pitched his a$$ off and Davis with the ballsy 6 out save. Congrats Cubs backers.

70-50 overall and now 16-8 in the playoffs.

Not too often can you come in here and reread the same insight from one side of spectrum. Today it's been a rerun in here about the Dodgers. The Dodgers win tonite because of Kershaw and their bullpen. Ok I will give you the bullpen commentary because they've been nothing short of amazing but it's the expectation and "sure thing" approach Dodgers backers should be concerned about. We have seen some crazy things in this year's playoffs:

    1. Girardi not challenging and supposedly costing the Yankees the series against the Indians. Well the year won 3 in a row beating the hottest team in baseball. Expected? H@ll no. Nobody saw that coming.
    2. Kluber getting rocked twice again, at home. Go back and read the posts. Everyone thought he was the sure thing.
    3. Strasberg with this"sickness" yet he pitched light out
    4. Scherzer looking like a bottom tier pitcher in relief giving up 3 runs. Anybody see him hitting a batter with bases loaded?!
    5. The 8-3 deficit in the yanks/Indians game in the 8th inning.

I can keep going but my point here is this: Kershaw, close out game, +150, RL basically almost even money, it's inviting huh? What happens though if Kershaw does his job and the BULLPEN, the untouchable bullpen of LA gets touched up or what happens if Kershaw gets rocked? He hasn't necessarily been lights out. Also what happens if two of the best players in baseball like the Yankees stars did in game 3 of the astros series all the sudden get hot? If the Dodgers win tonite, it's expected and it wouldn't be surprised but I promise you, of the Cubs win tonite, the Dodgers backers will refer back to 1-5 above and out this out at the top. Long writeup here and I could be wrong but I'm putting myself out there. Cubs get at least one more win tonite imo. Expect the unexpected. Yes, I'm going against the team that has Kershaw Andy the team that has averaged a little over 4 runs a game in this series....it's just a baseball team and tonite I think the Cubs find a way.

70-50 overall and 16-8 in the playoffs:

    Game 5: Cubs/Dodgers Play:

What you think for Severino vs Verlander?

Kershaw with 3-4 run lead = 90% chance to win.

70-51 overall and 16-9 in the playoffs:

I picked Houston before the series and as great as New York has been playing lately this is a different series that the NL. Houston has been historic when it comes to their OPS and they have the lowest K rate in the league. I think back home tonite, in front of those fans with verlander, they will be ready. This goes 7 and boy will it be a great finish to a great series. Gotta go with my gut and gotta believe the bats for Houston do enough tonite to extend the series.

The expected happened tonite. Astros dominated baby! Yankees bullpen looking hittable as well. Game 7 tomorrow, here we come! Congrats Astros backers!

71-51 overall and 17-9 in the playoffs:

    Game 7: Astros/Yankees Play:

So here we are; what's happened in the previous 6 games is history. It's game 7 so anything goes and anybody wagering on this game should understand this. I say this because so many Yankees backers keep beating the CC card into the ground. Listen, he has been nothing short of amazing yet he's just ONE guy. He's the starter yes, but to simply put your money on the Yankees because he is taking the ball tonite....what other reasons do you have? Any? I haven't heard any other than the "this value for NY is too good to pass up" stuff....The NY bats were hot in games 3-5 and the bullpen looked great for NY yet last nite they were touched up One guy, two guys, whatever....they were hit and they didn't do anything to support their game 3-5 performance. This is important because with a team at home who has yet to lose, has already lost to CC, has one of the highest OPS in history and the lowest K rate in baseball....this needs to factor into the equation here. The Astros looked awful against CC in their first meeting but I wonder....will there be a different approach here tonite? I think so. Are Altuve, Correa, Springer, Gonzalez, Gurriel all dogsh@t?

What about the Yankees bats last nite? Cold, ice cold. With a young team like the Yankees is this the same feeling as the Indians series in a winner take all game? We'll see. Stakes are a lot higher tonite. Lastly, let's talk about Morton. The expectation is that he stinks it up again yet I can promise you the motivation will be there to pitch well at home against CC who has been lights out. Both starters probably won't see the 6th inning....yet all the eggs in the CC basket huh?  I had the Astros and Dodgers before the playoffs started and I am staying with the Astros here. The Yanks have played out of their minds this year in the playoffs but the Astros lineup is awake and I expect tonite whether it's a run game or a blowout for those bats to show up against the so called "unhittable CC and NY bullpen". All hands on deck tonite for both teams. Hearing the same clowns who called out Girardi in the Indians series for not replaying "the play" back him now and call Hinch out for starting Morton is ridiculous. I'm not even gonna touch on the "Houston Strong" mentality either. It's real and it will be felt tonite. Expect the unexpected tonite all. Anything can happen. That's all I can say. Go Astros!

I agree with everything u just said, only thing that gives me pause is, if this game is tied when when both these teams go to the bullpen I think the Astros can be in some trouble.... The YAnks bullpen has been really amazing since play in game against the Twins and the Astros bullpen has been a flat out liability, those young Yankees players eyes will be wide open when those Astro bullpen meatballs start coming towards them.... I think the Astros need a lead going into 6,7,8, and 9....but I think they will have one because I can see CC getting touched up today, but Joe will pull him at the first sign of trouble, u might even see Tanaka off 3 days rest at some point.... It's going to be an awesome game either way but I lean Astros for sure. GL tonight bud. peace

When i say expect the unexpected.....why can't the Yankees bullpen make the mistakes tonite rather than "obvious" of the Astros bullpen messing up? ALL we have heard about is the Yanks bullpen.....CC this CC that, Morton stinks. Ok......simple Yanks win huh? Oh yeah: " look at the value on the Yankees line". Wake me up because I'm growing bored hearing that crap all day.

Yea I agree with ya that Houston gets the job done, the Astros lineup has been nothing short of historic , I just think they can possibly run into trouble in the later innings in a tie game.

I've been wanting this for a while now and I got it in game 7. Reddick has been moved to the bottom of the lineup and Bregman is hitting at the 2 spot. I think this will be huge tonite considering reddick has been useless in between arguably the best 1,3 and 4 combo in baseball. Good move by Hinch tonite.
