LARGE PLAY:
CHICAGO WHITE SOX -117
This game is a little more risk than I want to take and to say its a gamble would be properly worded. The market moved a right hand starter from 109 to 117 and quickly got jumped on. This play is against the Cleveland hitters vs starting LHP on the road. I like playing the Indians at home but I'll fade them on the road even with an unknown commodity like Quintana. Quintana has had some history with a 50 game suspension under his belt, but has pitched well in the minors.
He's had a MLB stint in which he pitched 5 scoreless against these same Indians. Gomes has pitched well above expectations but was roughed up last time out and hasn't faired too well vs these White sox although the average against isn't too high. It's an early season series between a first and second team and laying only 17 cents on the dollar at home with a lefty. I'll buy some of that.
LET'S JUST PUT THIS ONE IN THE BOOKS AS WELL
