I am a huge PITTSBURGH sports fan

Seeing the PITTSBURGH PIRATES in 1st place after the all star break is AWESOME,,,,,its been a long time...

i just hope they can keep playing good ball..

I love the Bucs...Karstens has been completely unreal...I watch every game on good old Root Sports.  Raise the Jolly Roger makes my day

This is awesome, man... I'm thinking they can really make a run at this thing. We got a brutal stretch coming up though (vs. CIN, vs. STL, @ ATL, @ PHI)

In the present era of multi-million-dollar payrolls, the Bucs are certainly the best story in the MLB today.  What's not to like about that team and I, for one, would like nothing more than to see them in the playoffs...long deserved! 

I hope the first place Pirates keep steamrolling this dead Houston bunch.  The Lastros are too pathetic for words.

If the buccos keep the running game going they will be fine.... but that is needed with this offense..... we got away from it a little in the 1st half.... last night was great as I believe we were 4 for 4.  Even if we get thrown out it still puts pressure on the pitcher,,,,,  see more fastballs,,,,  and on the D.

The line doesn't raise an eyebrow, MrBator?  I mean, they certainly aren't getting the desired 50/50 action.  I don't necessarily believe the numbers I see online, but according to one source it's 90/10.  And if there ever was a backwards as line, we're looking at it.  Maholm's road numbers are the ONLY thing I see that doesn't look good for the Pirates.  He's been ptiching well lately.  Could they really be just giving away money here?

I love it when a young team hits its stride, but their schedule has been questionable. If they're even just 2 games back Aug 1st, after playing 13 against the Cards, Reds, Braves, and Phillies, I'll be giving them a lot of respect.
