Darren Till weighed in at 174.5 pounds earlier today, 3.5 over the limit. The fight is still on however Till cannot weigh over 188 lbs at 1pm tomorrow. The difference between Till and Thompson is the UFC had to persuade Thompson with a bigger contract for him to take this fight, and Till on the other hand, even offered Thompson his entire fight purse after missing weight today.
It is interesting to note the trend this year for UFC fighters who missed weight: all 6 fighters who missed weight in 2018 won their fight.

I believe till is on the rise to superstardom but Thompson is a huge step up in class , till has only really beaten up a declining cowboy who’s jaw is completely gone . Thompson has also knocked out the current welterweight champ and beaten a who’s who on the ufc roster , arguably beaten the current champ Woodley . I like till , his confidence is huge and hometown boy will surely bring out the best in him , but to soon for me , going Thompson , maybe decision result as well
If you're referring to when Stephen Thompson KO'ed Robert Whittaker over 4 years ago when Robert was only 23 years old, then you have to realize that Whittaker went up to Middleweight one fight after and has improved significantly since that loss. Also, Thompson did not beat Woodley in either of their fights, and was very close to being finished himself.
