sounds like it's just about official. what do you all expect the odds to be for this fight. i'm guessing toney-250, though should probl be a little higher.
sounds also like matt serra will fight mike swick on this card as well. interesting. i like swick in that fight.

Kimbo can fight a guy with no name & draw fans, and Toney will be able to draw fans without a big name opponent. No need for them to fight each other any time soon.
.. I can't believe I'm talking about Kimbo and Toney in the UFC .. but I trust Dana knows what he is doing.

dont get me wrong,,,i understand the business aspect,,,i get what its about,,,,and it's no secret that a loss for kimbo pretty much ends his ufc career---and i don't really care what that opening line was---real mma people know that kimbo WOULD NOT be the favorite in the meat/slice fight.......so yea,,,,he'll probably start playing fuck fuck and weasel his way into a toney fight---which he will be more than able to handle---thus prolonging his career...............pretty weak for the man from "the streets" who was supposed to be afraid to fight anybody..........

If this fight did happen on April 17th, the fighters would only have a a month and a half to train for it. I think Toney needs more time than that. Kimbo vs Toney is a worse match up than Kimbo vs Mitrione. Kimbo will lose either way, but I think Toney would KO Kimbo. The possibility of Kimbo being KOed isn't something the UFC wants right now - especially against Toney. The longer they can string Kimbo on for being a legit fighter, the better. I really can't see it being a smart move to have these two guys fight against each other right away.
If I'm wrong, oh well, it won't be the first or last time.

No question this would turn into a straight boxing match.
A street fighter VS a world class boxer.....hmmmmm
Toney would KO Kimbo 9/10
Toney is not a world class boxer anymore thats why he is in mma cause he couldnt make money in boxing anymore, dont forget Kimbo beat another washed up ex superstar boxer in mercer...

Ray Mercer was about 7 years past bum when he fought Kimbo and 46 years old .Toney is only 3 years off HW title fight draw.
Not saying Toney would beat Kimbo but Toney is 10x the boxer Mercer ever was and has 10x more left than Mercer did at the time of the Kimbo fight

If Kimbo opened up at +400 against Toney, I'd take that to sub +200 in minutes. Do you really think Kimbo would stand with Toney, when he didn't even decide to stand with Houston Alexander at a certain point, once realizing (or his corner telling him) that he can't properly cut angles? Do you think Kimbo lacks a rational, functioning brain that precludes him from injecting any semblance of strategy into his game? Kimbo via atavistic beatdown, and I mean that in the least derogatory way possible.

If you are suggesting that Kimbo...
A. will not stand and trade with Toney
and/or
B. will win the fight by keeping the fight on the ground
you are mistaken
